From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Swansea will look to build on last season's near-miss with European qualification as Garry Monk continues to increase his reputation as one of the most talented British managers in the game.

The Swans finished the 2014/15 season in 8th place, missing out on the Europa League by just on eplace. That could prove to be a blessing in disguise given the rigours that the Europa League demands, and another strong showing is expected from the Welsh outfit.

Here are some of the highlights from Swansea's fixture list to look out for:

First game

8 August: Chelsea (A)

Last game

15 May: Manchester City (H)

Games against biggest rivals

Everton: 19 September (H), 23 January (A)

Liverpool: 28 November (A), 30 April (H)

Over the festive period

Swansea will play West Bromwich Albion (H) on Boxing Day, Crystal Palace (A) on the 29 December and Manchester United (A) on New Year's Day.
