Everton have been one of the form teams in the country so far, winning all six of their matches in all competitions and making it three from three last weekend, in which Dominic Calvert-Lewin continued his goalscoring run before netting a hat-trick in the midweek Carabao Cup victory over West Ham.
Ancelotti does have a number of injury concerns on his hands though, including summer signing Allan, and Brighton will fancy their chances of an upset after resting the bulk of their squad during the week. Follow the live updates below.
40 mins: De Bruyne sends Raheem Sterling free on the counter attack. Leeds defend it well, not allowing Sterling onto his right foot and they hold him up long enough for men to get back. Sterling holds onto the ball too long and he’s dispossessed in the box.
38 mins: Bamford collects the ball in front of goal, outside the box. He plays a short pass to Roberts who slips it in to Dallas. Ederson comes flying off his line and he deflects Dallas’ shot out for a corner which comes to nothing.
36 mins: Helder Costa tries to break away and he’s clipped by Mendy who picks up a yellow card. Man City have had 11 attempts so far, Leeds just two.
33 mins: Mendy should have played Sterling in on goal after a sharp counter attack but his pass is delayed and Sterling is caught offside much to his annoyance.
30 mins: City sweep forward on the counter attack. Sterling and De Bruyne start the attack before Foden is given the ball. He sends it out to Torres who passes to Mahrez who loses the ball.
27 mins: Leeds have grown into the game, they’ve pressed forward and had some small success over the last five minutes or so. Ayling gets free down the right wing, he beats Mendy and cuts it into the box where Ederson clings onto the ball.
24 mins: Bamford squeezes his way into the left side of City’s box. He shoots but hits the side netting.
20 mins: De Bruyne whips a corner into the box. Laporte wins the header, connects well but puts it wide. Close.
