From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

After the pain of their 3-1 home defeat by Chelsea on Sunday, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City were unable to find a nerve-settling win over Celtic at the Etihad Stadium.

City had already guaranteed a place in the last-16 but the side couldn't improve on second place with Barcelona topping Group C.

Guardiola was looking for a strong response from his side after the weekend's defeat and a convincing victory over the Hoops but he didn't get the confidence booster he was hoping for.

As for Celtic, Brendan Rodgers' side finished bottom and, as a result, head out of Europe without the chance to feature in the Europa League.

Let's not forget the thriller these two sides played out at Celtic Park earlier in the group stages. Will we see another game like that? Let's hope so...

The Champions League anthem is drowned out by the usual boos from the City fans - Guardiola won't be pleased with that...

This is a good opportunity to scout Iheanacho for your fantasy football teams too - Aguero is out for four games and the Nigerian looks set to replace him in the starting XI, as he did earlier in the season.

4 mins: GOAL! Manchester City 0 Celtic 1 (Roberts)

City let him play even though he is on loan from them and what a goal he has scored! Roberts weaves in and out of some lazy challenges before firing into the bottom corner! Great start!

6 mins: It gets worse for City with Adarabioyo looking like he has picked up a back injury and John Stones is warming up.

7 mins: GOAL! Manchester City 1 (Iheanacho) Celtic 1

What a start this is! Nolito plays in the Nigerian and he finishes magnificently into the top corner! Should Gordon have saved it though?

GOAL! Basel 0 Arsenal 1 (Perez)

Lucas Perez gets his first goal in Europe for the Gunners! Goals going in everywhere at the moment!
