So what's going on? Rosberg is currently eating a banana while both he and Hamilton look at their helmets, having had trouble with water coming inside the visor. Lewis is now on his phone (no one mention Snapchat) while the rest of the field are seeking cover from the rain and Raikkonen's Ferrari is being salvaged.
UPDATE: We've got some penalties to dish out. Massa gets a five-second time penalty for passing Gutierrez before the safety car line, while Ricciardo gets the same sanction for pitting while the entry was closed.
Lap 20: The drivers climb back into their cars, although they've been running for quite some time in an effort to burn off the fuel that is no longer needed, given the slow pace of the race. FIA regulation orders all drivers to start on full wets, so no inters out there when we restart.
Lap 21: The race gets back underway behind the safety car. It looks very wet out there again, but it has at least stopped raining.
Lap 21: Ocon, who did superbly to avoid the stricken Raikkonen, says "visibility is very, very poor. Worse than before."
Lap 22: The safety car continues, and there's an alarming call to Perez to say heavy rain will arrive shortly and last for 15 minutes. Suddenly, the four-hour time limit is becoming a factor. We're currently at one hour and 25 minutes and are not even halfway.
Lap 24: Disaster for Hulkenberg, as he's forced to pit after two laps with a right-rear puncture, having just changed tyres during the red flag. That drops him down to 15th and way out of the points.
Lap 25: Er, no one has noticed that Jolyon Palmer has retired from the race. As the field came out of the pits, the Renault remained in the garage and Sky Sports reports it was caused by damage suffered in a clash with Kvyat. That's a shame as there's points up for grabs today.
