The weekend may be without Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy after they both missed the cut, but Saturday did not go without it's drama. Irishman Lowry has brought the fans to life with a truly brilliant round, and after starting the day on eight-under-par, he recorded a bogey-free round of 63 that featured eight birdies to lead Tommy Fleetwood by four shots.
Brooks Koepka moved himself up to fourth place alongside Justin Rose and just behindJB Holmes, but Lowry's brilliance means they already find themselvesa long way off the lead at the start of Sunday's play. The R&A Has also announced that Sunday's tee times have been moved forward due to the threat of bad weather. Follow the latest updates below.

10th: They're trying to determine whether the ball has broken group as Westwood's tee shot is finally found deep in a ditch. That's well and truly buried.
They're not making him hit it! Are they? There's some kind of conference taking place down there with several officials.
It's deemed unplayable and he is given a one-shot penalty and moves the ball out of the ditch.
18th: Fowler heads to the clubhouse on eight-under after a birdie chance comes and goes on the last. It's been a fine round for the American, who will definitely fancy his chances of a top-10 finish.
10th: Fleetwood has a long time to weigh up this short after Westwood's conference to sort out that ball. He finds the green and it 15-20 yards from the pin.
14th: Rahm moves to six-under with a birdie on the 14th, his third of the day.
10th: It's a tough putt up the hill for par for Westwood and it's short. He taps in at the second time of asking and leaves with a bogey, which will not bother him a great deal after the one-shot penalty for his stray drive off the tee.
Westwood now nine-under after 10 holes.
Fleetwood, meanwhile, joins Lowry at the top of the leaderboard and making no mistake with his routine putt after some great approach play to move to 11-under par for the Championship.
10th: Lowry has a long conversation with his caddie before taking his second shot and it's brilliant what he produces next! His pal did a great job to keep him with the seven iron and Lowry uses the bank at the side to give himself some pace as it rolls towards the pin. He's one course for another birdie.
Holmes starts from a more central position, but finds the rough at the back of the green.
10th: Holmes goes with the putter from the thick grass and sets it on its ways down the slope and very close to the pin. He'll save par. Nice play.
There's a fantastic reception for Lowry at every tee and green. He becomes the outright leader after sinking a routine put to a huge cheer.
Lowry now 12-under for the Championship.
12th: Elsewhere, Rose has given himself a great chance of getting an eagle. He did it yesterday and he does it again. He moves up to tied-fifth on eight-under.
18th: Stenson started the day really well and ends with a birdie put as he makes his way to the clubhouse on six-under.
11th: Fleetwood probably could not get much closer to the hole without the ball going in as he is forced to make do with par. Westwood also makes par.
16th: Rahm sinks a very impressive put for birdie, his fourth of the day, to join the large group on seven-under.
18th: Noren finishes the day on six-under to end a fine afternoon's work.
