The weekend may be without Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy after they both missed the cut, but Saturday did not go without it's drama. Irishman Lowry has brought the fans to life with a truly brilliant round, and after starting the day on eight-under-par, he recorded a bogey-free round of 63 that featured eight birdies to lead Tommy Fleetwood by four shots.
Brooks Koepka moved himself up to fourth place alongside Justin Rose and just behindJB Holmes, but Lowry's brilliance means they already find themselvesa long way off the lead at the start of Sunday's play. The R&A Has also announced that Sunday's tee times have been moved forward due to the threat of bad weather. Follow the latest updates below.

13th: Rose has quietly snuck into joint-fourth as he sinks a birdie putt to go to nine-under.
18th: Dustin Johnson ends things for the day on two-under after a final putt goes agonisingly wide, something we have seen a lot of from him this week.
11th: Right, how can Lowry do here? It's a long ol' putt and he's cleverly set himself up with the chance to save par.
Holmes has no fuss in his attempt to make par too. You wonder if he would like a little more love from the assembled crowd.
12th: Oh no, some premature cheering in the crowd cursed Westwood's birdie attempt and he'll have to make do with par.
Fleetwood, on the other hand, sinks a birdie after a brilliant chip set him up from close range. He joins Lowry on 12-under as joint-leader.
17th: Elsewhere, Rahm moves to eight-under with his third birdie in four holes. A strong finish from the Spaniard.
13th: Cameron Smith sinks a brilliant birdie to take him to eight-under and joint-sixth.
13th: Westwood's search for his next birdie seems to continue, they have seemed to dry-up since his last one on the fourth. His tee shot on the par-three 13th doesn't point to another one coming soon.
15th: Spieth holes his fourth birdie of the day, which sounds impressive but the two bogies on his card takes away some of the gloss. He continues on six-under.
13th: Nothing unlucky for Fleetwood on the 13th as a he sees off a solid par.
Westwood is facing a long putt for Birdie, which was never really going in. He also settles for par.
12th: Lowry has a sideways putt on his hands for an eagle, the noise generated around the green if this goes in will be quite something...so close! It had the right amount of pace, but was just to the side. He'll take the birdie though and move to 13-under.
Holmes goes to 11-under with a straightforward birdie putt.
