The weekend may be without Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy after they both missed the cut, but Saturday did not go without it's drama. Irishman Lowry has brought the fans to life with a truly brilliant round, and after starting the day on eight-under-par, he recorded a bogey-free round of 63 that featured eight birdies to lead Tommy Fleetwood by four shots.
Brooks Koepka moved himself up to fourth place alongside Justin Rose and just behindJB Holmes, but Lowry's brilliance means they already find themselvesa long way off the lead at the start of Sunday's play. The R&A Has also announced that Sunday's tee times have been moved forward due to the threat of bad weather. Follow the latest updates below.

Lowry then misses the opportunity to become outright leader with a surprising miss and settles for par on the seventh.
It seems nobody wants the outright lead as Fleetwood then sees a birdie putt just miss. He settles for part and continues on 10-under.
Westwood makes par.
Fleetwood makes the fairway on the ninth, but Westwood can't join him as he finds the longer stuff to the right.
9th: Fleetwood's approach play has been very good this week and the same continues as he sets himself up nicely on the green for a birdie chance.
8th: Lowry sinks a routine par shot and Holmes follows suit after a birdie attempt drifts wide.
No change at the top.
17th: A very good second shot to get him onto the green a very good putt sees Fowler go to eight-under with a birdie at the penultimate hole.
9th: So what can Fleetwood and Westwood do here? They both have a birdie chance. Fleetwood goes first and it swings down the hill.
Westwood kept a close eye on his partner's effort given his attempt is from a similar position...so close. He gets done by the hill too.
Both players make par and remain on 10-under as the approach the back nine.
Westwood's last bogey was on the 14th on day one and there seems to be no sign of him getting another anytime soon. His putting has been very clean.
9th: Holmes might be able to do something Fleetwood and Westwood could not do and get a birdie on this hole after a brilliant second approach shot.
Lowry goes next and also produces a brilliant shot to set himself up with the chance to better his score.
10th: Westwood needs a bit of luck here after a tee shot goes wayward and there's a brief inquest on the side of the course to actually find where that one went.
Fleetwood finds the fairway with little fuss.
9th: Lowry for birdie...makes it! The crowd enjoyed that one and the Irishman moves to 11-under par.
He's out new outright leader.
...and he won't be joined by Holmes as the American settles for par.
