The hosts took the morning fourballs 3-1 before keeping that advantage in the afternoon foursomes to take what could prove a decisive 10-6 lead into the final day.

It all gets underway at 7.10am on Saturday morning with the opening fourballs.

Garcia & Noren vs Watson & Simpson (4UP)
Four now...but this time it was thoroughly deserved. Watson hit a great tee-shot into the par-3 eighth and Simpson nails the putt.
Rose & Stenson (2UP) vs Koepka & Johnson
There is something to cheer for the Europeans up ahead though. Once again Dustin Johnson's cack-handed putting is on full exhibition. Both teams were on the tenth green in two but the Americans three-putt. The lead goes to two.
Molinari & Fleetwood (4UP) vs Woods & DeChambeau
It's a complete rout for Planet Moliwood. Tiger looks more like the man who couldn't make a cut than the Tour Championship winner. He sprays his tee-shot out left on the par-3 eighth. DeChambeau recovers well with a good chip but now Woods misses a tiddler too. It's too easy and it's four.
Molinari & Fleetwood (4UP) vs Woods & DeChambeau
Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood are going to become the first European pairing to ever win all four matches at a Ryder Cup.

This morning's chill and the jackets and bobble hats are all long gone and the sun now beams down on the Albatross Course at Le Golf National as if it were midsummer. The scoreboard is as even as we've seen for a while, with each side leading two matches, but the great thing about foursomes is how quickly it all changes. Poulter and McIlroy have already seen a three-hole swing on the front nine of their match, now they need it to swing back the other way.
Poulter & McIlroy vs Spieth & Thomas (2UP)
It comes down to two testing putts on the par-3 eighth and first up it's McIlroy. It skirts the edge though and the door is open for Thomas. He rifles it into the chest of the hole and that's a very costly error for the Europeans. Spieth and Thomas won't offer them anything like that in return.

Molinari & Fleetwood (5UP) vs Woods & DeChambeau
Tiger Woods took on the par-5 ninth and he was so close to carrying it onto the green but it just caught the face of the bunker. DeChambeau played a nice recovery shot but it just runs on past the flag. It's a firm and straight one for Tiger but he's pulled it. Fleetwood from a similar length...and he hasn't. Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau are five down through nine holes.
Rose & Stenson (1UP) vs Koepka & Johnson
Easy work for the Americans at twelve. Johnson hit a brilliant approach to just over five feet but Rose's drifts well right. Stenson's chip isn't much better and the Europeans concede the hole.
Garcia & Noren vs Watson & Simpson (3UP)
An albeit dull twinkle of hope returns for Garica & Noren after a horrid drive from Watson on ten. It's near-impossible for Simpson to recover and so it proves. A par wins it.
Poulter & McIlroy vs Spieth & Thomas (2UP)
But the Americans have offered it back...on the very next hole. It looks a formality for Thomas to extend the gap to three but he drags his putt and looks rattled.
And now he's hit a banana-hook off the tee on ten. The momentum shifts.
