The hosts took the morning fourballs 3-1 before keeping that advantage in the afternoon foursomes to take what could prove a decisive 10-6 lead into the final day.

What time does it start?
It all gets underway at 7.10am on Saturday morning with the opening fourballs.

Rose & Stenson (1UP) vs Koepka & Johnson
Dustin Johnson spits at the ground but it's himself that he's disgusted with. It should have been a simple two from the fringe for the Americans but DJ has scuffed it and leaves Koepka five foot for the half. It glides past the edge and the crowd absolutely love that.
Molinari & Fleetwood (2UP) vs Woods & DeChambeau
It's very messy on the sixth. After such stellar play today, Fleetwood has hit a horrible hooking drive into the hay out left. Woods has pulled his too but it's in the rough rather than the wreckage. Molinari can only hack out. DeChambeau hammers it through the back of the green and leave Tiger with a horrible downhill chip. All to play for.
Poulter & McIlroy vs Spieth & Thomas (A/S)
It looks like it's just going to be an innocuous half on five with both pairs facing lengthy birdie putts but Jordan Spieth has rolled it in from yonkers. Back to level and you get the feeling that could be big for the momentum in this match.
Molinari & Fleetwood (3UP) vs Woods & DeChambeau
Tiger Woods attempts to play a Phil Mickelson style flop from behind the green but his execution is as poor as the lefty has been this week. Such a bad shot and it was so clear that a chip and run was the safer option with the Europeans also struggling. Instead he's left DeChambeau with a horrible downhill putt for the half and it never looked like going in.
The Americans are now three down. DeChambeau has played with two of golf's greatest players in the foursomes and been let down by both.
Poulter & McIlroy vs Spieth & Thomas (A/S)
Poulter had a really good chance to put McIlroy in the driving seat there. It was only a cut down lob wedge but he's left it so short and McIlroy's now got a mountain to scale on the green just to get it to the hole.
Poulter & McIlroy vs Spieth & Thomas (1UP)
Spieth was unlucky that his approach got caught in the first cut by the green but Thomas almost holes his chip and that's an easy par. McIlroy's putt blazed past the hole and Poulter can't clear up the mess he made. From the position they were in that's such a poor one to give away.
Garcia & Noren vs Watson & Simpson (3UP)
It gets worse and worse for the Europeans. Sergio has gone from sublime to spurious and Noren's struggled from the word go. It was Garcia's hook off the tee this time which undid them. Watson & Simpson aren't even playing especially well but they lead by three now.
Molinari & Fleetwood (3UP) vs Woods & DeChambeau
Tiger's on the verge of combusting at the moment. His approach set up a great birdie opportunity for DeChambeau but nevertheless Woods was dismayed by the strike. DeChambeau tries to have a word in his ear but Tiger looks off in the other direction..
