Manchester United will attempt to get back to winning ways in the Premier League once more as they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux this evening.

The Red Devils beat Newport in the FA Cup at the weekend but have won just two top-flight games from the last eight in a run stretching back to November. That leaves them ninth in the table, outsiders in the race for a Europa Conference League spot and not even in the conversation for Champions League places, a poor return for Erik ten Hag’s spending of over £400m.

For Wolves, recent form is a different story. Gary O’Neil has led his team to five wins in seven and just one defeat in 10 in all competitions, seeing the team rise to 11th in the table and knowing they can overhaul United in the table with victory this time out.

They also remain in the FA Cup after beating rivals West Brom in the fourth round, with the match notable for fan violence causing a delay to proceedings.

Hojlund has come into his own as United's leading striker in this game, doubling his side's lead in the 22nd minute and chipping Sa late on before being denied by the offside flag. The 20-year-old Dane also set up Rashford's opener with one of four final-third passes and two chances created, as well as winning three duels and free-kicks apiece for the Red Devils' cause.

Manchester United put together arguably their strongest away performance of the season so far to lead Wolves 2-0 at the break - and that's a scoreline which more than flatters the hosts. Rashford's coolly-placed finish just five minutes into the contest got things up and running for the Red Devils, who soon doubled their lead after Hojlund steered Shaw's deflected cross in at the near post. Further chances followed as Casemiro, Fernandes and Varane all put decent efforts wide, while the offside flag prevented both Hojlund and Casemiro from putting United 3-0 up late in the half. Other than Cunha's deflected shot and Doyle's saved free-kick, Wolves have offered next to nothing at the other end and have a mountain to climb if they're to get themselves back into this contest.

OFFSIDE AGAIN!!! Another marginal offside sees the visitors denied that evasive third goal!!! Fernandes' cross from the free-kick is met by Casemiro and nodded low into the corner, but the flag is up once more to penalise the Brazilian for being fractionally ahead of the last defender!

We're into three additional first-half minutes at Molineux, with the hosts hoping to get to the break without being stretched yet again by Manchester United.

BALL IN THE NET!!!! The offside flag goes up to prevent Hojlund making it 3-0!!! Garnacho cuts inside and takes on the backtracking defence before threading the ball into Hojlund's path. He peels off the last defender and strokes the ball past Sa into the bottom corner, but the flag is correctly raised to deny the Dane a double!

Cunha skips beyond Casemiro's scything challenge and takes on Varane down the left, but loses out to the defender and Garnacho recovers the loose ball to win a free-kick for the Red Devils.

Bellegarde drives away from Casemiro and plays a one-two with Neto to find Toti advancing into the box. The defender looks to cross to the near post, but Dalot's block sees the ball ricochet off his Portuguese compatriot and bounce behind for a goal-kick!
