Wolves v Manchester United LIVE: Premier League result and reaction as United grab late win in thriller
Marcus Rashford starts as Man United look to climb the Premier League table with a win at Wolves
Manchester United will attempt to get back to winning ways in the Premier League once more as they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux this evening.
The Red Devils beat Newport in the FA Cup at the weekend but have won just two top-flight games from the last eight in a run stretching back to November. That leaves them ninth in the table, outsiders in the race for a Europa Conference League spot and not even in the conversation for Champions League places, a poor return for Erik ten Hag’s spending of over £400m.
For Wolves, recent form is a different story. Gary O’Neil has led his team to five wins in seven and just one defeat in 10 in all competitions, seeing the team rise to 11th in the table and knowing they can overhaul United in the table with victory this time out.
They also remain in the FA Cup after beating rivals West Brom in the fourth round, with the match notable for fan violence causing a delay to proceedings.

The full-time whistle goes, and every single pre-game script goes up in flames as Kobbie Mainoo comes to the rescue for Manchester United to secure a desperately late 4-3 victory over Wolves at Molineux! The visitors' early missed chances in the second half came back to bite them in the 71st minute, as Pablo Sarabia slotted in a penalty to give Wolves some hope in the final quarter of the game. It proved to be much, much more than hope, as despite substitute Scott McTominay restoring United's two-goal lead just moments later, the hosts rallied again to score twice either side of the 90-minute mark. Max Kilman swept in from close range with five left on the clock, and Pedro Neto's breakaway goal five minutes into injury time looked to have completed the unlikeliest of comebacks. The day was far from done though, and Mainoo belied his 18 years to waltz his way through an ailing Wolves defence, curling a beautiful low finish into the corner to win it for the visitors! A dominant first-half and a chaotic second for Manchester United, who collect all three points at the end of a frankly crazy games which reminds all of us just how unpredictable the Premier League can be!

Wolves pack the box as Ait-Nouri swings a late, late cross in from the left, but Onana rises above the crowd to make a clean catch and that should be that for United!

SAVED!!! Somehow Sa keeps United at bay!!! The visitors win a corner after Antony's cross is blocked behind, and after it's play short to Shaw, another deflection sees the ball drop to McTominay at point-blank range, only for Sa to deny him with a last-ditch save!
