David de Gea is on the verge of signing a new £350,000-a-week contract to keep him at Old Trafford, while United keeper Dean Henderson is set to go out on loan at Sheffield United.

Jadon Sancho is set to reject any move to United or elsewhere and continue his progress at Borussia Dortmund in the near future.

Marko Arnautovic has completed his move to Chinese side Shanghai SIPG, West Ham have confirmed. 

A statement read: "West Ham United can confirm that Marko Arnautovic has joined Chinese Super League champions Shanghai SIPG for an undisclosed fee.

"The 30-year-old Austrian departs after two seasons at London Stadium, during which he scored 22 goals in 65 appearances in Claret and Blue."

Chinese Super League (CSL) club Shanghai Shenhua have signed Stephan El Shaarawy from AS Roma, making the Italy international forward their most expensive acquisition to date as they bid to avoid relegation.

The 26-year-old joined Shenhua for a transfer fee of 16 million euros ($17.95 million), the Italian Serie A club said on Monday.

Shenhua are 14th in the 16-team CSL standings just over halfway through the season, only one point above the relegation zone.

Matthijs de Ligt has agreed personal terms with Juventus, according to the Mirror.

His transfer from Ajax remains up in the air because Ajax are yet to agree a fee with the Serie A club, and want more than the £55m they have been offered. 

PSG and Manchester United have both been lurking but it is now being reported that De Ligt has agreed a five-year contract and is closing in on a move to the Old Lady.

Ander Herrera has revealed he left Manchester United because of a difference of opinion over his role in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans.

The 29-year-old Spaniard signed for Paris St Germain on a free transfer earlier this month after five years at Old Trafford.

Asked why he left, Herrera told Spanish newspaper Marca: "I do not like looking at the past very much, but there were differences regarding the project and my importance within it.

"I was very happy, I have a lot to thank the club and the fans for it and also Solskjaer. He did a lot for me to stay, but things did not happen, they arrived late, and by then I had already made the decision to play in Paris."

The French forward's clause will be paid by the Spanish champions imminently, claim Sport. 

Griezmann has not reported for Atletico pre-season and faces being fined by the club.

Tyrone Mings has completed a £20m transfer from Bournemouth to Aston Villa, according to Sky.

The 26-year-old centre-back spent last season on loan at Villa, making 18 appearances as the club secured promotion to the Premier League.

A formal announcement is expected to come later today, and the fee could reportedly rise to £25m.

West Ham will replace Marko Arnautovic with Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo. 

The Uruguayan will cost €50m (£45m), with the Hammers triggering the buy-out clause. 

West Ham beat off competition from Valencia to land the 22-year-old, with his former club Defensor Sporting, who own 20 per cent of his rights, set to receive €10m, report AS.
