Atletico Madrid are rivaling Napoli for the signature of James Rodriguez. 

The Real Madrid star does not have a future with Zinedine Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti is eager to bring him to the south of Italy. 

But Diego Simeone appears to be making a late move for the Colombian, but Corriere dello Sport believe Ancelotti's intervention will be decisive in convincing him to link up with the Italians.

Is Paul Pogba heading back to Juventus?

The latest this morning, according to the Times, is that Juventus are preparing a £120m bid for the Manchester United midfielder to bring him back to Turin.

Pogba is said to be desperate to return to Serie A after a frustrating time in the Premier League and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already looking for replacements, including Sporting's Bruno Fernandes.

Arsenal are facing a serious fight for the signing of Kieran Tierney from Napoli.

The Celtic full-back is one of Unai Emery's top priorities this summer as he looks to bolster his options on the left side of defence.

But Napoli are considering a bid and, according to the Telegraph, are prepared to sell Mario Rui in order to raise the funds to bring Tierney to Naples.

To Liverpool now, and Jurgen Klopp's agent has admitted the manager has ambitions to manage his home country, Germany, once his work is done at Anfield.

Klopp spent seven years at Mainz and the same length of time at Dortmund, so Liverpool fans can expect a little bit more from him yet, but his agent revealed in a wide-ranging interview with Welt that Klopp wants to manage Die Mannschaft.

Tottenham are closing in on a new long-term deal for defender Ben Davies.

The full-back is set to commit his future with a new five-year contract which further throws into doubt Danny Rose's position in the squad.

Spurs are set to try and sell a number of players with Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama, Vincent Janssen, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Josh Onomah and Marcus Edwards understood to be available, according to the Telegraph.

Jose Mourinho has rejected an offer of €100 million to return to management in China. 

The offer has come from Guangzhou Evergrande, which would have made the Portuguese the highest paid manager in the world. 

Since leaving Manchester United in December, Mourinho has resisted diving back in, insisting he is waiting for the right project. 

"I know exactly what I don't want," he said. "I know what I want, in terms of not the specific club but the nature of the job, the dimension of the job."

Mike Ashley has approached Steven Gerrard about replacing Rafa Benitez at Newcastle. 

The Rangers boss has impressed in his first season as a manager. 

And the Mirror believe the Liverpool legend is a candidate to replace Benitez, who failed to agree on a contract extension, instead departing for China. 

Nice boss Patrick Vieira is also under consideration.

The Eagles are looking to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka after his £50m move to Manchester United. 

And James is a target, claim the Sun, having returned from a successful loan spell at Wigan last season, fits the bill.
