From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Newcastle United host Arsenal in the 1330 BST kick-off at St James’ Park with both sides on the fringes of their respective Premier League battles.

For the Gunners, the top four is now out of sight and they are content with chasing Chelsea in fifth above them while holding off the charge of Burnley from below.

Newcastle meanwhile are sitting pretty above the relegation scrap, seemingly safe on 38 points, and can now target a top-half finish which would be an impressive achievement from a squad which many experts tipped to struggle this season.

Ander Herrera warms up at Old Trafford and continues his run in the first team. His role in the midfield gives Paul Pogba the licence to go forward and frees him of defensive responsibility.

Last time

Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Ligard's first half goals were enough for Manchester United to beat West Brom at the Hawthorns, despite a late Gareth Barry strike threatening to begin a comeback.

Predictions

So, how do we see this one going? I'm thinking 3-0 to Manchester United, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to unleash carnage. Let us know your predictions below or Tweet us!

1: We're off!

"It's been a really poor, disappointing season," says Alan Smith of West Brom's year on Sky Sports. I really think he's on to something here...

4: This may be surprising, so hold tight, but Manchester United have started with much more off the ball with West Brom seemingly happy to defend on the edge of their penalty area.

5: West Brom break forward and Jay Rodriguez tries to knock the ball around Victor Lindelof and slips.

6: Paul Pogba, who is sporting a silver haircut this afternoon, tries to get the better of Ben Foster from range but scuffs a low shot which is easily saved.

9: Ashley Young's clever scooped pass over the top of the defence is met by Juan Mata who can't quite dink it over Ben Foster who gets his body in the way. It would not have counted anyway as Mata had drifted offside.

11: Dave Saves!

Manchester United receive a real scare as Jake Livermore's shot has to be turned away. Jay Rodriguez steals the ball from Ander Herrera and plays it to Salamon Rondon. He holds the it up and plays in Livermore on his right. The midfielder sets himself then tries to curl the ball low with his left foot but David De Gea stretches to palm it away.
