From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Newcastle United host Arsenal in the 1330 BST kick-off at St James’ Park with both sides on the fringes of their respective Premier League battles.

For the Gunners, the top four is now out of sight and they are content with chasing Chelsea in fifth above them while holding off the charge of Burnley from below.

Newcastle meanwhile are sitting pretty above the relegation scrap, seemingly safe on 38 points, and can now target a top-half finish which would be an impressive achievement from a squad which many experts tipped to struggle this season.

58: Paul Pogba's afternoon is over and Anthony Martial is on. Old Trafford cheers as the announcer reads Martial's name, they want him to be a part.

60: Straight away Anthony Martial is involved and draws a foul from Allan Nyom on the left wing. Juan Mata's delivery is headed behind by Ahmed Hagazi for a corner. Mata tries his luck from the other side but the Egyptian defender clears again.

64: Manchester United have a free kick on the edge of the box turned down. Anthony Martial tries to dink the ball past Jake Livermore, who uses his arm to block the ball. The referee emphatically waves away appeals but replays suggest that probably was a foul.

65: What a save!

This is David De Gea - esque. Nemanja Matic's lofted cross is met by Romelu Lukaku who generates power on the ball and heads down towards the bottom corner. The ball seems to be heading in but Ben Foster flies across his goal and turns it away, producing the kind of save his opposite number makes.

69: Jesse Lingard goes close. Juan Mata lays the ball along the edge of the penalty area to Lingard who strikes the ball with power but his first time effort is wide. He says Chris Brunt got a touch but a goal kick is given.

Manchester United are beginning to up the intensity, amid chants of "attack" from the stands.

Manchester United 0-1 West Brom

In 2nd vs 20th, it's 20th who have scored first!

From the back post Craig Dawson nods a corner back across goal and Jay Rodriguez is there in the middle to turn the ball in.

If it stays like this, Manchester City become Premier League champions.

75: Alexis Sanchez pulls a ball back to Anthony Martial who can't control the ball and fires over.

Manchester United are upping the intensity and are bringing on Marcus Rashford for Ashley Young.

76: Matt Phillips makes way for Gregorz Krychowiak.

77: Well this is very long overdue, Allan Nyom flies in on Anthony Martial and catches him high with a slide tackle. That must be his 100th foul, or thereabouts.

Just ten minute to go and Jay Rodriguez's goal is the difference at Old Trafford. Can Manchester United turn it around or will West Brom hold on and hand Manchester City the title?
