Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

CRYSTAL PALACE 0 - 1 MAN CITY

Yaya Toure has scored on his return to the side, to give his side the advantage before the break. Nolito poked the ball through to Toure and he blasts it into the roof of the net. Great goal.

Just minutes now until the second half of our 15:00 kick-offs proceed, so stay tuned.

It's been an exciting first half of fixtures, with just St Mary's stadium remaining goalless as they host Liverpool, who are currently sitting at top of the table.

STOKE 0 - 1 BOURNEMOUTH

Stoke win a penalty just minutes into the second half, but Bojan fails to convert and his attempt rattles the crossbar. It's a soft penalty decision nonetheless, so the home side would have felt robbed if they secured their equaliser from that.

Rather ironically, the lights have gone out at The Stadium of Light... No, seriously.

The game has been paused for the time being until this rather comical problem is fixed.

WATFORD 2 - 1 LEICESTER

Jamie Vardy has been terribly quiet so far this half. With such reputation following a tremendous season last year, it seems that the English striker is struggling to live up to his name in the 2016/17 campaign.

The visitors will be hoping he can redeem his threat going forward and snatch them an equaliser.

WATFORD 2 - 1 LEICESTER

The home side should have put this game to bed, with Peretra failing to convert with a free header inside of the six yard box.

CRYSTAL PALACE 1 - 1 MANCHESTER CITY

GOAL!

Just as Man City could have made it 2-0, the home side charged out with a counter attack and its Connor Wickham with the goal. That's the equaliser.
