Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

EVERTON 0 - 1 SWANSEA CITY

Everton have 77% possession so far this half, but it's not been enough yet to snatch them the equaliser.

CRYSTAL PALACE 1 - 2 MANCHESTER CITY

GOAL

De Bruyne hits a low and hard corner into the middle of the box, which meets Toure, who fires it into the net and doubles his tally. It's unbelievable how the set piece made it that far into the area and the visitors pounced on this weakness and made it count.

The home sides perseverance has paid off, and it's Coleman with the headed goal from about 10 yards out. Game on!

Here's how both sides will line up today for our 17:30 kick-off...

The England striker has just returned from injury and scored on his comeback in the north London derby. Spurs will need him to get back to full fitness soon as their attack has been misfiring majorly in his absence.

There's just over ten minutes until kick-off now.

Tottenham enter the bout at fifth in the Premier League table and a win today will put them just one point behind their rivals, Arsenal.

A win today for The Hammers will see them go from a rather uncomfortable seventeenth in the table, to a much more respectable twelfth.

It's all to play for today. I'm really looking forward to this one.
