From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

They take on a Leicester side who have rediscovered their form under Claude Puel but, if last week's humiliation against Crystal Palace is anything to go by, remain defensively vulnerable. Stick around for the live action as it happens!

Jamie Vardy gives Leicester the lead against the run of play, rounding off a lethal counter-attack with a cool finish from Riyad Mahrez's lay-off.

GOAL! Leicester 1-1 Manchester United (Mata, 40)
Anthony Martial's cross deflects into the path of Jesse Lingard, who produces a nicely-weighted cut-back for Juan Mata. The Spaniard takes a touch before guiding a shot past Kasper Schmeichel and into the far corner.
Lovely finish and an equaliser United thoroughly deserve on the balance of play.
44' - What a chance for Leicester to re-take the lead!
Marc Albrighton's free-kick finds Harry Maguire unmarked in the box but, with only David de Gea to beat, the defender's first touch lets him down and Ashley Young gets across to clear the danger.
45' - Two minutes of additional time to come at the end of this opening period.
Half-time - Leicester 1-1 Manchester United
Jon Moss brings an end to an entertaining opening period and we're level at the break after goals from Jamie Vardy and Juan Mata!
