From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Manchester United travel to Leicester looking to put their midweek defeat at the hands of Bristol City behind them. They take on a Leicester side who have rediscovered their form under Claude Puel but, if last week's humiliation against Crystal Palace is anything to go by, remain defensively vulnerable. Stick around for the live action as it happens!
5' - Decent move. Jesse Lingard plays a nice one-two with Romelu Lukaku before shooting at goal from distance. His effort takes a deflection and Kasper Schmeichel is forced to tip the ball over the crossbar.
United have started brightly here.
8' - Great strike. Paul Pogba skips past Vicente Iborra with a lovely piece of skill before rifling a left-footed shot straight at Kasper Schmeichel from distance.
11' - Jesse Lingard almost produces the perfect through pass to Romelu Lukaku but Harry Maguire gets a toe to the ball to divert it away from United's Belgian striker and prevent a clear goalscoring opportunity.
The visitors have been superb in these early stages.
15' - Demarai Gray looks to be a good out-ball for the hosts. The winger's pace has already sparked a couple of decent counter-attacks but Leicester are yet to test David de Gea in the United goal.
19' - Romelu Lukaku attempts an overhead kick at the far post after Anthony Martial's cross but the striker doesn't make good contact and the ball goes out for a goal-kick.
23' - Anthony Martial cuts in past Danny Simpson and onto his right foot but, just as he's about to pull the trigger, Wilfred Ndidi dispossesses him with a last-ditch challenge. That's really good midfield play from the Leicester man.
