Middlesbrough vs Tottenham LIVE: FA Cup fifth round result, final score and reaction tonight

60 mins: Riyad Mahrez scores the first goal of the night right on the hour mark as Manchester City take the lead over Peterborough. It’s a classic goal from Mahrez, cutting inside from the right and curling a left-footed strike into the bottom corner.

39 mins: Chance! That was the best chance for Spurs. Harry Kane gets the ball inside his own half and has runners bombing forward on the counter attack. Kane flicks it down the right hand channel for Matt Doherty. Joe Lumley comes flying out of the penalty area but Doherty brings the ball under control and knocks it around the goalkeeper. Doherty is a fair way out from goal but has an open net in front of him yet hooks his shot high and wide!

36 mins: Just under 10 minutes to go until half-time and there has been just one shot in the whole first half. Tottenham have had the most possession but have done very little with it going forward.

Middlesbrough have been nice and disciplined so far.

33 mins: Almost! Paddy McNair slots a long ball over the top and plays Isiah Jones in behind Ben Davies on the right hand side. He sprints towards the penalty area but the bounce takes the ball away from him. Hugo Lloris is sharply off his line and he plucks the bouncing ball out of the air and smothers it just inside his own box.

30 mins: Every now and again the game opens up and Middlesbrough get the chance to fly up the pitch. Jonny Howson is the instigator this time with a driving run through the middle. He looks to play in Andraz Sporar but his pass gets intercepted by a back-trackign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

27 mins: Nearly! Dejan Kulusevski is slipped into the right side of the Middlesbrough box and weaves his way around Paddy McNair. He rolls the ball onto his left-foot and looks set to shoot only for McNair to come sliding in with a perfectly timed challenge that knocks the ball clear of Kulusevski without fouling the Tottenham forward.

24 mins: Crystal Palace vs Stoke went into half-time without any goals scored. Pep Guardiola has made a couple of changes to his team at the break against Peterborough with John Stones and Aymeric Laporte coming on for the second half.

Chance for Middlesbrough! Duncan Watmore receives the ball on his way into the box and squares it across to Andraz Sporar. He shoots but has his effort blocked in the box and Tottenham work the ball away.

21 mins: Eric Dier floats a long diagonal ball across the pitch as Ryan Sessegnon makes an early run in behind the Middlesbrough right-back. He looks to bring th ball down in the penalty area but the offside flag goes up.

Remember there is no VAR tonight as the game isn’t being played at a Premier League ground.

18 mins: Paddy McNair brings the ball forward from deep in the Middlesbrough half and wins a free kick after an enthusiastic tackle from Kulusevski. Joe Lumley pumps the set piece down to the opposite end of the pitch and Tottenham recover possession.

Isiah Jones presses up the pitch on the right side and attempts to nick the ball off Ben Davies forcing him back into the final third before giving away a free kick.
