Liverpool vs Chelsea LIVE: Premier League score, result and reaction from flat goalless draw at Anfield

45 mins: Chance! Cody Gakpo flicks on a long ball and picks out Naby Keita. Keita switches the play out to Mo Salah on the right wing.

He cuts inside and lets fly with a left-boot but fails to trouble the goalkeeper.

There’s four minutes of added time to play at the end of the first half.

41 mins: Close! Andy Robertson brings the ball through the middle of the pitch linking up with Bajcetic and Keita before sliding the ball over to Mo Salah on the right edge of the box.

Salah looks to curl a pass back into Robertson who’s continued into the box but a deflection off Badiashile takes the ball away from the left-back and allows Kepa Arrizabalaga to scoop it up.

38 mins: Chance! This is better from Liverpool. Thiago Alcantara gets up the pitch and receives the ball on the edge of the penalty area.

He checks to the right once, twice then hits one at goal. There’s a deflection but not enough to trouble Kepa Arrizabalaga who drops to his left and smothers the ball.

35 mins: Stefan Bajcetic slips in midfield and lets the ball run through to Lewis Hall. The youngster tries to recover it with a lunging tackle and takes out the man instead.

He collects a yellow card.

32 mins: Save! Alisson comes to the rescue for Liverpool once again! Hakim Ziyech swings a free kick into the box from the left wing and picks out Benoit Badiashile.

Badiashile meets the ball with a header and nods it at goal but Alisson drops low and palms it away!

29 mins: Mo Salah and Marc Cucurella come together as Salah flicks the ball over the Chelsea defender. Cucurella goes down and needs a bit of treatment from the medical staff.

26 mins: Chelsea try to bully their way into the penalty area and send the ball to Conor Gallager who then drills an effort straight at Alisson.

The Liverpool goalkeeper keeps it out without too much trouble.

23 mins: Close! Chelsea send the ball over to Hakim Ziyech on the right wing and he threads one into the box to Kai Havertz who breaks away from his marker.

Havertz lays the ball off to Mason Mount who passes it across to the arriving Lewis Hall but Hall blasts his effort wide of the far post.

20 mins: Nearly! Mo Salah spins in behind Marc Cucurella as James Milner dinks the ball down the line. He recovers it and looks towards goal just as the offside flag gets raised.

Chance! Lewis Hall dallies on the ball inside his onw half and has his pocket picked by Cody Gakpo. Gakpo then turns towards goal and laces a shot from range high and wide!

17 mins: Nice link-up play between Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajcetic sees them feed the ball into midfield then through Chelsea’s middle line into the feet of Cody Gakpo.

Gakpo flicks the ball behind Marc Cucurella and plays Mo Salah into space. He lays it back to James Milner whose cross is once again headed clear.
