ARSENAL RELUCTANT TO LOAN MAITLAND-NILES TO LEICESTER
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is set to leave the Emirates on loan until the end of the season with a few Premier League teams interested in him.
One of them is Leicester City who have emerged as late favourites for his signature.
However, Arsenal are said to be reluctant to let Maitland-Niles join the Foxes as they don’t want to strengthen a rival for the European places at the top of the Premier League.
Southampton and West Brom are also interested in Maitland-Niles so he may yet make a move away from the Gunners.
CELTIC TARGET KENNY
Celtic are hoping to complete a loan move for Everton right-back Jonkoe Kenny after they appeared to lose out on Preston’s Ben Davies to Liverpool.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon was hopeful that a deal could be done for Davies at the weekend before the Premier League champions made a surprise move for the defender.
Following Jeremie Frimpong’s move to Bayer Leverkusen Celtic are in the market for another right-back and Kenny is the first choice.
He has made 48 appearances for the Toffees and spent last season on loan with Schalke.
MURRAY REUNITING WITH HUGHTON
Brighton’s Glenn Murray has reunited with former boss Chris Hughton after joining Nottingham Forest.
Murray has spent the first half of the season on loan at Watford but will join Hughton’s side for the rest of the season.
The Forest manager said:
Glenn is a player I know very well and he has an excellent pedigree at this level. Certainly he will add leadership and experience to our squad between now and the end of the season.
“He is a proven goalscorer at Premier League and Championship level and has continued to keep himself fit so we are looking forward to what he can bring to the squad ahead of a busy run of fixtures.”
GILMOUR SET TO STAY AT CHELSEA
Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour is set to stay at the club after the sacking of former manager Frank Lampard sparked concerns over his future.
Gilmour was said to be unsure of how much game time he would get under Thomas Tuchel and had been linked with a loan move away from the club.
However that doesn’t seem to be happening as Gilmour has been reassured that he will get chances to play under the new boss.

His new deal runs until June 2023 and contains the option for a further year.
Since signing for Crystal Palace in the summer of 2018 the 34-year-old has made 80 appearances for the club.

This one has been in the works for a few days and now Okay Yokuslu has completed his medical at West Bromwich Albion.
He’s expected to finalise his loan move from Celta Vigo later today.
Yokuslu underwent his medical in Spain, where he is still waiting for a visa which will then allow him to come to England.

ROSE SET TO STAY AT SPURS
Danny Rose is set to see out the rest of his contract at Tottenham before leaving the club on a free in the summer.
The Athletic reports that Rose turned down a three-and-a-half-year deal with Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor.
Sam Allardyce’s West Brom were also interested in signing the 30-year-old but talks have not progressed.
Rose joined Newcastle on loan last January and wasn’t given a squad number this season for Spurs. He’s been training with the u23’s and things are set to stay that way after Jose Mourinho has no plans to reintegrate Rose into the first team squad.
He’s played just five times in all competitions under Mourinho and has spent the majority of the season with the development squad.
