ERIKSEN COULD STAY AT INTER AMID PREMIER LEAGUE INTEREST
Christian Eriksen may be set to stay at Inter beyond today’s deadline, claims the club’s chief executive Giuseppe Marotta.
The former Spurs midfielder has been linked with a return to north London, as well as Arsenal, Leicester and Wolves.
Eriksen has struggled for regular starts under manager Antonio Conte, though Marotta has insisted he could still have a part to play.
"As Antonio Conte said, if there are some players who are unhappy and want to find other clubs, it's not right to withhold them," Marotta told DAZN.
"We do not have any of those situations. Therefore, this is the squad we will have at our disposal until the end of the season.
"When you're in a big club, there are no starting players or deputies. There are just professionals who must answer to the coach and his decisions. A player can play less than one of his team-mates but still manage to be more influential.
"Over the course of the campaign, Eriksen too can have an important role in the team, whether he plays more or less."

LEICESTER PREPARE LATE BID FOR ARSENAL PLAYER
Leicester are expected to make a last-minute offer for Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles, according to the Mirror.
The 23-year-old is reportedly “desperate” to leave the club before today’s deadline.
Having fallen out of favour under Mikel Arteta, Maitland-Niles wants first-team football ahead of this summer’s European Championship.
And Leicester could be the team to offer that. The Foxes are said to be planning a loan bid, ahead of a future permanent deal for the England international.
