Manchester United saw a £70m bid for Harry Maguire rejected earlier this week, while Manchester City broke their transfer record on Thursday when they completed the signing of defensive midfielder Rodri from Atletico Madrid. West Ham are engaged in another bitter transfer struggle with wantaway striker Marko Arnautovic, with Shanghai SIPG placing a £22m bid for the Austrian, who has since handed in another transfer request.

Arsenal‘s £40m bid for Wilfried Zaha was swiftly knocked back by Crystal Palace, however, the Gunners are still prioritising the winger over Malcom, who has reportedly been offered to the club by Barcelona. Meanwhile, another Barca star could be on his way to the Premier League after the odds on Ousmane Dembele making a switch to Liverpool overnight. Elsewhere, Juventus have lodged an opening £58.3m offer for Dutch centre-back Matthijs de Ligt. Follow all the day’s transfer news live below:

New contract: Andreas Pereira has signed a new deal at Manchester United which will keep him at the club until 2023., with the club holding the option to extend by a further year.

The 23-year-old joined the club as a youth player in the 2011/12 season and has made 35 first team appearances since then.

Pereira said: "“I have spent so long in Manchester that I now regard the city and the club as my home and I’m extremely happy to continue my career here. The manager has shown great faith in me and I can’t wait to get this campaign started under him."

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added: "Andreas has become an important member of the squad with his energy and hard work in midfield. He works non-stop every day in training, has a great character and knows what he has to do to continue his development here."

Reports from Italy claim that AC Milan are very interested in Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves and could offer a player-plus cash deal for the 22-year-old.

Mediaset reports that Milan will offer €10m plus striker André Silva, who spent last season on-loan at Sevilla, to bring Neves to the San Siro.

Silva has struggled to find his feet following his €38m move from Porto in 2017 and is just one of the players Milan are happy to let go of this summer.

Midfielders Franck Kessie and Hakan Calhanoglu have also been made available for transfer.

Spanish newspaper AS reports that Arsenal have offered €32m to Real Madrid for utility man Lucas Vazquez.

Vazquez, 27, is set to see his playing time reduced heavily at the Santiago Bernabéu following the signings of Eden Hazard and Rodrygo Goes.

Arsenal's primary target this window is still Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha but a price tag of more than £80m is causing difficulties.

New contract: Hot on the heels of Andreas Pereira signing a new deal at Manchester United, defender Axel Tuanzebe has signed a contract extension until 2022.

The 21-year-old spent last season on-loan at Aston Villa where he helped the club win promotion to the Premer League.

Tuanzebe said: "I have grown up at Manchester United and it has always been a big part of my life and my family’s life. I appreciate the trust that the club has in me and I want to repay that with my performances on the pitch."

West Ham's 11th hour move to sign Celta Vigo's Maxi Gomez is in the balance after it was reported that Valencia had already agreed a deal for the Uruguayan striker, according to Sky Sports and Spanish sources.

West Ham, using funds from Marko Arnautovic's imminent departure, will offer to meet Gomez's £40m release clause scuppering the deal Valencia already had in place.

Valencia agreed a deal of €16m plus Santi Mina heading in the opposite direction and the fact that Gomez wants to stay in Spain and play Champions League football appeared to have swayed the transfer in Los Che's favour.

Gomez has been Manuel Pellegrini's top target since January and needs striking reinforcements with just the wantaway Javier Hernandez and unproven Jordan Hugill soon to be at his disposal.

Sheffield United target Neal Maupay will cost around £20m if the Blades want to bring the Brentford striker to Bramall Lane.

Frenchman Maupay scored 25 goals in the Championship last season and registered eight assists and has attracted the interest of Sevilla and Aston Villa too.

If Sheffield United do sign Maupay it would smash their club-record transfer fee which was only broken this week with the £5m signing of QPR midfielder Luke Freeman.

Spurs look set to continue their summer spending spree after agreeing a £22m fee with Dinamo Zagreb for Spain Under-21 international Dani Olmo.

Muchodeporte reports that Spurs have pipped Manchester United to the signing of the former Barcelona youth player who was in excellent form at the Under-21 European Championships last month.

The same paper also report that Spurs haven't given up hope on Real Betis' Giovani Lo Celso with the Spanish club holding out for around €70m for the playmaker.

Transfer confirmed: Charly Musonda has rejoined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan deal from parent club Chelsea.

Musonda, 22, has also had loan spells at Real Betis and Celtic since signing for Chelsea from Anderlecht.

He has made just three Premier League appearances since signing for the Blues in 2012.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that West Ham may well turn their attentions to Torino forward Andrea Belotti as a replacement for China-bound Marko Arnautovic.

West Ham will reportedly offer the Turin club €40m for the striker and will offer Belotti a five-year contract worth €3.5m-a-year.

Belotti scored 15 goals in 37 Serie A games last season and has been capped 22 times by Italy.

Transfer confirmed: Sevilla have confirmed their seventh signing of the summer with the arrival of Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilón on a season-long loan deal.

The 22-year-old Spaniard made 22 appearances for Real Madrid last season and earned his first Spanish Under-21 cap earlier this year.

Reguilón will be reunited with former Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui at Sevilla, who took over the reins last month.
