Manchester United have been the club to watch so far with completed moves for Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but they appear to be far from done in the transfer window and still have interest in Bruno Fernandes and Sean Longstaff.

However, Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has emerged as a surprise target despite appearing close to a move to Tottenham, which would upset Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy no end. Spurs do appear close to their first summer signing in two years though, with Jack Clarke set to join this week before returning to Leeds United on a free transfer.

In Europe, Adrien Rabiot has now left Paris Saint-Germain and is expected to join Juventus today, while Liverpool have reportedly been offered two players in the form of former midfielder Philippe Coutinho and Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio – however the latter comes at the cost of current forward Sadio Mane.

Marcus Rashford is on the verge of signing a new contract at Manchester United that will see him  paid a huge £250,000 a week, with an announcement expected imminently.

The Telegraph claims that the England international will receive a huge pay rise on his current £80,000-a-week salary, with performance incentives increasing that number to nearly £300,000 if he reaches his goals set by the club.

Rashford has caught the eye of clubs across Europe including Barcelona, meaning United have been forced to shell out more than initially thought to secure his long-term future.

But the club are ready to announce the agreement, which will see the 21-year-old commit his future to United until 2023 with the option of an additional year.

Speaking after the deal was announced, Rashford said: “Manchester United has been everything in my life since I arrived here at the age of seven.

“This club has shaped me, both as a player and as a person, so it is such a privilege every time I get the opportunity to wear the shirt.

“I want to thank Ole and his staff for everything they have done for me; they are the perfect group of coaches to learn from as I continue my development and look to push on to the next level.

“I will be giving everything I have to help get this club back to where it belongs and deliver the success that our fans deserve.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also had his say on Rashford's new deal, which comes three years and four months on from his professional debut for United: “Marcus is one of the most talented English players of his generation. He is an outstanding player; blessed with natural pace and energy.

“Marcus is a shining example of the talent that our Academy produces and his upbringing means that he truly understands what it means to play for Manchester United.

“Despite being only 21 years old, Marcus already has great experience. He has a fantastic future ahead of him with the club and I am delighted that he has signed a new contract.”

Real Madrid have reportedly been told that it will cost them a whopping £150m to sign Paul Pogba this summer.

The Mirror claims that Manchester United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is so determined to not let Pogba go just yet that he will hold out for £150m for the Frenchman, which could scare Madrid off for another year.

To make matters worse, United have told Madrid officials that the fee must be paid in its entirety up front, with the club unwilling to budge on negotiations.

Liverpool are ready to rival Manchester United and Arsenal in the battle to sign Jacob Bruun Larsen.

The Borussia Dortmund youngster has caught the eye of a number of clubs after making 30 appearances for the German side last season despite his young age.

The Daily Mail reports that the three English giants are all keeping an eye on the 20-year-old, though Dortmund are keen to hang on to the forward.

Tottenham are starting to prepare for the prospect of Christian Eriksen running down his contract and leaving on a free transfer.

Spanish newspaper Marca reports that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has already been in touch with Real Madrid over their interest in the Dane, who is refusing to extend his contract the expires next summer.

As a result, the central midfielder is expected to leave Spurs this summer to follow Luka Modric and Gareth Bale in swapping north London for Madrid.
