Palace took the lead through Andros Townsend after just seven minutes, and they doubled their advantage on 74 minutes when Wilfried Zaha netted a re-take from the penalty spot after David de Gea stepped off his line when saving Jordan Ayew’s initial effort.
United debutant Donny van de Beek came off the bench to pull one back for the hosts, but Zaha bagged his brace with five minutes remaining at Old Trafford to put the result beyond doubt. Re-live all the updates below:
73 mins: Close from Leeds, very close! Roberts plays Alioski into the box, he shoots and Areola palms the ball away. It comes out of the box where Roberts runs onto it. He drills it at goal but the Fulham goalkeeper dives to his left and grabs hold of the ball.
70 mins: Anguissa takes a shot from a long way out and he hits the left hand post! Meslier looked like he had it covered if the shot was on target but Fulham have completely turned this game around.
Bamford is off, Alioski is on for Leeds, Reed goes off for Fulham with Lemina coming on.
Leeds 4 - 3 Fulham - Mitrovic
67 mins: GOAL! What is this game?! Tete gets forward on the right wing, he crosses the ball into the box, Mitrovic jumps higher than anyone else, wins the header and fires it home.
From 4-1 down to 4-3. Fulham are back in this game!
Leeds 4 - 2 Fulham - De Cordova-Reid
62 mins: GOAL! He’s just come on the pitch and has given Fulham some hope. Anguissa does well up against Phillips on the edge of the box. He shrugs off the England international and slots the ball into the penalty area. De Cordova-Reid picks up the ball and fires it across the goalkeeper finding the far bottom corner.
60 mins: This could turn ugly for Fulham. There’s a real energy about Leeds now and they still have half an hour to play.
Leeds 4 - 1 Fulham - Helder Costa
57 mins: GOAL! Another banging finish from Costa. Hector tries to win an aerial ball up the pitch but misses it and Leeds break down the left with Bamford. He sprints past Odoi and cuts the ball into the box. Costa runs onto it and slots it into the top corner.
54 mins: Leeds win a free kick and Phillips flicks the ball into the box. Roberts follows it but doesn’t get to the ball before it bounces into Areola’s hands.
Leeds 3 - 1 Fulham - Bamford
50 mins: GOAL! Klich splits the defence with a beaut of a pass and Bamford collects. His first touch takes him into the penalty area and with the second he curls the ball around the goalkeeper to give Leeds some daylight.
48 mins: Klich sends a high ball into the box from the right side. Roberts goes for the header but Tete uses his strength to hold him off and head the ball away.
