From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

Follow the latest reaction after Cardiff City were relegated from the Premier League after a 3-2 defeat against Crystal Palace.

Neil Warnock's side needed to win at home to stand any chance of catching Brighton and Hove Albion, who sit four points above the Bluebirds ahead of their Sunday encounter with Arsenal.

But Palace were always on the front foot early on and took the lead through Wilfried Zaha, and despite a Martin Kelly own goal levelling the scores, Michy Batshuayi soon restored the advantage. Andros Townsend added a third in the second half that proved to be the final nail in the coffin, and while Cardiff scored a late consolation through Bobby Reid, their relegation to the Championship was confirmed soon after. Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock: "We've got to win this game. If we don't we can forget it, so we've got to concentrate on that really.

"We always give effort and sometimes we are a bit limited. But with two games to go we're still in it.

"I'm a bit sad. You're bound to feel a bit sad. One or two more points would see us in a different situation. I think we may have accepted where we are at the beginning of the season. We'll give it our best shot against Palace."
