From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Danny Cowley and his Lincoln team will aim to "achieve the impossible" again when they take on Burnley this weekend but the Imps boss believes their FA Cup run - whenever it ends - will stand the club in good stead for the future.
Cowley has guided National League leaders Lincoln to the fifth round for the first time in 130 years and at Turf Moor on Saturday they will attempt to become the first non-league side to reach the quarter-finals since the competition's current format was instigated in 1925.
Lincoln City have no fresh injury problems but Lee Beevers remains out with a long-term knee injury.
Burnley are without Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick for their FA Cup fifth round clash against National League leaders Lincoln.
Brady is cup-tied having played for Norwich earlier in the competition, while Hendrick serves the second match of a three-game suspension.
Steven Defour (hamstring) is still out and Johann Berg Gudmundsson is fit to return, while the likes of Jon Flanagan, James Tarkowski, Tendayi Darikwa, Scott Arfield and Sam Vokes can all expect recalls.

Saturday's FA Cup fixtures:
12.30pm: Burnley v. Lincoln City
3.00pm: Huddersfield v. Man City
3.00pm: Middlesbrough v. Oxford Utd
3.00pm: Millwall v. Leicester
3.00pm: Wolverhampton v. Chelsea
45 mins: Another Barton free-kick, another header clear. This time it's Habergham who appears to clear the danger, only for Keane to keep the attack alive. Eventually, the ball drops to Scott Arfield, who rasps a 20-yard drive over the crossbar.
There will be two minutes of added on time to be played.
SECOND HALF KICK-OFF: It's non-league Lincoln City who get the second period underway against Premier League Burnley at Turf Moor. In the league, they are separated by 81 places. In the cup, nothing can separate them. Will that change in the next 45 minutes?
47 mins: An early blow for Lincoln's Paul Farman. The visiting custodian is quickly off his line to slide on to a through ball played in between two of his defenders, but pays the price of Scott Arfield's studs. The Burnley midfielder showed no willingness to pull out of the challenge as Farman gathered, clattering the keeper in the process and leaving him requiring minor medical attention.
52 mins: Burnley have started the second half on the front foot, and Gray has just passed up their best chance of the game. It's no surprise that a Barton set-piece delivery is the ammunition for Burnley's forwards; a delicate chip in from the left touchline drops on to the boot of Gray, but the striker steers it inches wide of the near post.
57 mins: There's a lengthy delay as Power receives treatment after being on the end of a Barton forearm smash. It didn't look intentional, but you can never be quite sure with Joey, the old tease.
62 mins: Least surprising moment of the match sees Rhead and Barton called together by referee Graham Scott. Barton is indicating that Rhead elbowed him as they stood together awaiting a throw, Rhead is suggesting that Barton stamped on his foot. Eventually the anger subsides to amusement as the official takes no action. I'm not sure it will be smiles all the way through to full time.
67 mins: It's Lincoln on top at Turf Moor, and prolonged pressure around the Burnley 18-yard box eventually sees Arnold arrow a cross in the direction of Rhead at the far post. The delivery is just too high for the striker to make full contact, the ball skimming away off the top of his head for a goalkick.
69 mins: Flashpoint! There's pushes and pulling as almost every player on the pitch piles in, and - guess what - Joey Barton is in the thick of it. The midfielder's action started the melee as he caught Terry Hawkridge in the face with a flailing arm, and then Alex Woodyard hit the deck as Jon Flanagan pushed him in the chest. With the help of his assistant, Graham Scott calmed tempers down before flashing an inevitable yellow card in the direction of Barton.
75 mins: A quarter of an hour remains at Turf Moor, and still the game remains goalless. Indeed, it's the non-league side causing problems for their opponents, most recently when substitute Dayle Southwell took possession in the box before turning a shot into the side-netting.
