In a final that pits Jose Mourinho up against rival Antonio Conte, both managers know that defeat will leave them trophy-less this season – and for the latter that could prove to be the end of his reign at Stamford Bridge. Conte is expected to leave Chelsea at the end of the season, although there is hope that an FA Cup final triumph could yet keep him at the club.
For United, finishing the Premier League season 19 points behind Manchester City has been particularly embarrassing, and having failed to win the Champions League or EFL Cup, Mourinho will be desperate to add to his extensive trophy collection with the FA Cup.

45+1: Big chance for Rashford
A Paul Pogba lead counter attack finds its way to Marcus Rashford in the box but he scuffs a left-footed shot in front of goal. Sums up his and United's form over the last few weeks.
Eden Hazard's 22nd minute goal from the spot is the difference at the break as Chelsea take a deserved lead into the break.
Cesc Fabregas clipped a wonderfully timed pass into Hazard's feet and the winger raced away from Phil Jones and into the box. Hazard waits and waits and waits for Jones to go to ground, and hey-presto he does, and when he does he says 'thank you very much' and takes the foul in the box.
Micheal Oliver shows just a yellow card, because Jones has made a genuine effort to go for the ball. Try telling Antonio Conte that, he thought it was a certain red.
Alan Shearer says on Match of the Day that Marcus Rashford must stop coming short and get in behind the Chelsea defence.
"What he has to realise is he is the focal point. He is the centre-forward that his team need to build on. When you're not getting much of the ball it's tempting to go short.
"The Chelsea back four must be delighted because everything is being played in front of them. The on thing they don't like is pace. 'We don't mind you going short, we don't want you going behind us.' Jose has to say to them 'go the other way.'"
