WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao delivered a dominant performance to earn a unanimous decision victory over Adrien Broner on Saturday in Las Vegas.

The 40-year-old Filipino multiple world champion was quicker and more accurate as he controlled each round and cruised to the triumph over Broner, 29, who fought gamely and stayed upright despite being hit with several heavy combinations.

Retired great Floyd Mayweather attended the fight, fueling speculation of a rematch against Pacquiao. Undefeated Mayweather beat Pacquiao in 2015.

Jimmy Lennon Jr gets ready to make the in-ring announcements. The pair are ready, the smiles set back into stares, the nerves sinking in. Here we go!

RD 1: 1-0 Pacquiao

It's a cagey opening, Broner set in his crouching wide stance, Pacquiao on the front foot. After a minute, the Filipino charges in but his punches sweep at thin air.

Broner's looking sharp, although he's not responding with anything significant of his own. Pacquiao connects with a straight left. He's the busier of the pair but he's slightly rushing his punches.

RD 2: 2-0 Pacquiao

Broner's solely focused on countering, especially looking for a left-hook when Pacquiao throws a lazy jab. A quick right-hand brushes the Filipino's nose before Pacquiao retaliates with a series of sharp jabs. Broner's punches are sharp but he simply isn't throwing enough to win the round.

RD 3: 3-0 Pacquiao

There's no mistaking who the crowd are in favour of as cries of "Manny, Manny" ring around the MGM.

Pacquiao is pushing on the front foot, he's slightly off balance but the moment Broner's guard drops he unleashes a fierce combination. The flurries aren't connecting cleanly though.

The return from Broner, though, comes only in single counters and, even when they land, they're not powerful enough to deter the Filipino. Another clear round to Pacquiao.

RD 4: 3-1 Pacquiao

Better from Broner who counters with greater frequency, sharpshooting with the right hand and rolling away from Pacquiao's straight punches. There's no eye-catching combinations from Pacquiao this time and Broner takes that round.

RD 5: 4-1 Pacquiao

Broner is growing in confidence but Pacquiao's rapid-fire jab keeps the scoreboard ticking. Broner's is more of a pawing to find an opening rather than attempting to land.

Neither man are able to land anything significant, so Pacquiao's pitter-patter with the right-hand takes it solely through work rate.
