The Minecraft Crocs are so gloriously ugly, we’re in love with them

Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Footwear company Crocs is no stranger to brand collaborations. The brand has made love-them-or-loathe-them shoes in partnership with Balenciaga, Justin Bieber and, yes, even KFC. But, arguably, none have been as gloriously ugly as the Minecraft Crocs collaboration, and boy do we want a pair.
Crocs has made a whole collection of foam shoes that are inspired by the much-adored video game. A mess of clashing colours and Minecraft graphics adorn the shoes to wonderfully grotesque effect. The collection includes classic and elevated clogs for adults and children, as well as a classic slide and either flat or 3D jibbitz accessories (if you want to make them extra appealing).
The limited-edition collection is available starting today. In the UK, you can buy the shoes from Crocs, and you’ll also be able to buy them from Amazon and Foot Locker soon. You can also don a pair in the virtual world as well by heading to the Minecraft dressing room – those Minecraft crocs are free.
It’s not the first time Minecraft has partnered with a fashion label. Last year, Burberry collaborated with the blocky game, releasing a physical capsule collection and a range of in-game experiences.
But if you’re coveting the Minecraft x Crocs collection as much as us, here’s where you can buy the limited-edition shoes. For now, only the elevated clogs are available to buy in the UK, but we’ll update this page with pricing of the classic clogs and slides when they go on sale.

Minecraft x Crocs classic clogs: Price TBC, Crocs.co.uk
The Minecraft x Crocs collection includes two classic clogs. One for adults and one for kids. The shoes feature Minecraft-inspired graphics across the foam upper, with the famous Minecraft hills spread across the top, alongside somewhat cute mushrooms, tall and short grass blocks and flowers. The back of the strap has the Minecraft logo printed on it, while the outside rubber sole and the inside is completely black.
Minecraft x Crocs elevated clogs: From £44.99, Crocs.co.uk
There are also two classic elevated clogs. A pair for adults (£54.99, Crocs.co.uk) and a pair for kids (£44.99, Crocs.co.uk). Unlike the classic clogs, which have a chunkier heel, the elevated clogs come with four flat jibbitz charms and four 3D jibbitz charms. You can use them to personalise the backstrap and upper, making them even more gorgeously grotesque.
Minecraft x Crocs slide: Price TBC, Crocs.co.uk
Crocs has also released a limited-edition Minecraft-inspired slide. There are only adult sizes available for this one, however. The slide doesn’t sport a backstrap and there’s a strap to secure your foot into the shoe. It, of course, still features the same loveably ugly design as the Minecraft clogs.
Minecraft x Crocs jibbitz: From £16.99, Crocs.co.uk
There are two packs of Minecraft jibbitz charms available (£16.99, Crocs.co.uk). One pack includes five flat charms featuring the blockheads of Steve, Alex, a creeper, a pig and an Enderman.
There is also an exclusive pack of 13 3D charms (£34.99, Crocs.co.uk), featuring various characters, mobs, chest blocks and diamonds.
