Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Every so often, a beauty brand launches that is so good pretty much everyone you know or follow on Instagram is using it, promoting it to cult status and tempting you to add everything in its range to your shopping basket, stat.
One such example is haircare label Olaplex, which has revolutionised the way coloured and heat-damaged hair is treated, and counts a long list of celebrities as fans, including Kim Kardashian, Margot Robbie and Chrissy Teigen.
Having won awards all around the world, Olaplex is famed for range of products that use patented technology to counteract hair damage, seeking out broken bonds and repairing them to leave your locks feeling stronger and looking healthier.
While the brand has eight products in total, two of which are in-salon treatments only, there is one in particular that shoppers decry as a “miracle treatment”, raving about how it leaves their hair looking shiny and full.
Called the no.3 hair perfector, the treatment rebuilds the damaged bonds in your tresses and, while it was previously only available in salons, it has now been designed for use at home so you can maintain your favourite hair colour and style in-between appointments.

But, don’t just take our word for it. The product has become a number-one bestseller on Amazon, where it has received more than 63,000 glowing reviews from satisfied shoppers. “I am absolutely stunned at the difference in my hair after only one use. My hair is soft and shiny and no more breakage,” one customer wrote, while another added: “I’d give this product 10 stars if I could. Would highly recommend if you want to stop split ends, or have dry hair that needs extra support.”
While Olaplex’s no.3 hair perfector promises to level-up your hair game, it is on the pricey side. But, as we’re always on the hunt for a great beauty deal, we’ve tracked down a seriously impressive saving.
Right now, Amazon is offering 37 per cent off the cult product, making it just £20. So, whether you're yet to try the treatment for yourself or you need to restock it in your beauty arsenal, you won’t want to miss ordering one. Find out more about the no.3 hair perfector below.

From dullness to dryness and split ends, it can feel like an endless struggle to take good care of your tresses, but this treatment could be the answer to all of your hair prayers.
Designed to strengthen and repair, Olaplex no.3 is an at-home treatment that’s designed to be used once a week before shampoo and conditioner. Suitable for all hair types, the brand says it stars a patented active ingredient that works to revitalise and regenerate dry, damaged strands that have been broken due to chemical, thermal or mechanical strain.
Ideal for use in between salon services, it is said to restore compromised hair to its former glory, leaving it looking healthy and feeling strong.
To use it, apply a generous amount to towel-dried hair and comb through before leaving on for a minimum of 10 minutes or even overnight. Rinse out the product and follow with shampoo and conditioner, then style as you wish and see the results for yourself.
If you’re interested in trying out other products from Olaplex’s range, the no.0 bond-building hair treatment (£26, Johnlewis.com) is one of our favourites. Pitching it against Inkey List’s PCA bond repair treatment, no.0 came out on top with our tester saying their hair looked noticeably shinier and had far fewer split ends.
“We also found that our colour appeared brighter, giving the highlights more of a boost throughout our hair,” they said. “As well as damage from colouring, heat damage was also one of our main concerns and before the treatment, we found our hair would easily break when using styling tools. But after a few weeks of using Olaplex, our hair felt stronger and we saw less split ends and breakages after styling.”
