Clive Myrie reassures worried viewers after eye droops during BBC News at Six broadcast
Clive Myrie has reassured worried viewers after his eye appeared to droop during a live BBC News broadcast.
The BBC News at Six presenter left viewers concerned after presenting the flagship programme on Monday (6 January).
Mr Myrie took to X, formerly Twitter, to ease concerns after the broadcast.
He said: “Happy N.Year everyone and thank you all for your concern over my left eye. It’s nothing serious, just an infection. I did think about wearing an eye patch, but the boss said no! A bit like Long John Silver. He wasn’t having any of it! Cheers.”
