From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Miesha Tate vs Raquel Pennington

Round 3: Into the final round we go and straight away they're both swinging. Tate tries a pull-guard and is clinging onto Pennington like a baby koala. Pennington is standing on top of Tate but her arm is trapped by Tate. She's trying to punch her way out of it. Pennington gets north-south, and Tate tries to flip out of it. They stand up momentarily, but Pennington still has a dominant position over Tate. Tate's going for a heel lock but it allow Pennington to work free. She stands over her opponent and quickly drops on Tate to try lock the choke in again. Pennington is winning this one with her barrage of punches, and the final hooter goes in what has to be a comfortable victory for the underdog. The pair embrace and share a long hug, but this should be Pennington's biggest victory of her career.

Chris Weidman vs Yoel Romero

It may be a lightweight headline event, but there's still a middleweight feel to UFC 205. Weidman is looking to get back his title that he lost to Luke Rockhold, who is sitting at ringside, while the bout represents Romero's biggest match to-date. To spice things up that little bit more, champions Michael Bisping is sitting high up in the rafters in the Fox studio. Tasty.
