A stunning first-half display helped France claim a 28-8 victory over Scotland in the Women’s Six Nations.
France, who came into the game with two wins from their opening two games, continued their 100 per cent record by earning a 28-3 half-time lead in Glasgow.
Laure Sansus scored two tries, with Jessy Tremouliere and Gaelle Hermet also crossing the line in a rampant opening 40 minutes. Tremouliere also brought her kicking boots, converting all four tries.
Scotland, who had exposed some holes in the French defence before the break, put up a spirited response in the second half and were camped in the visiting 22.
They eventually crossed the line in the 78th minute as Chloe Rollie went over after good work from Christine Belisle.
Helen Nelson missed the conversation for the Scots, who have now lost three from three.

The hosts kick it away for Italy now to build attack but Bettoni goes off her feet at the breakdown.
Will Ireland go for the sticks? No, they opt for the scrum.
A good scrum for both sides sees the ball pop out for Ireland and Parsons tries to get away. However, they are well aware of her threat and chuck her out of play.
Another scrum now, this time Italy’s put in.

Ireland win the ball after a tussle with Italy from the restart. A great break from Murphy Crowe and zipping the ball wide display some promising play for Ireland but Italy win the penalty.
Rigoni looks to gain valuable territory but she doesn’t find touch and Ireland are off again.
They are having to build something from deep here with the Italians pushing them back in defence.

Oh that was close for Italy! Sillari looks to run it in but Murphy-Crowe does well to tackle her out of play.
We come back to an earlier advantage as a player off her feet and Rigoni kicks the first points.

Italy have the lionshare of possession in these early stages with a few loose passes seeing the visitors kick away. Mulhall chases after Rigoni’s kick and she gets it away to clear their lines.
It’s a bright start for Italy and I expect them to put Mulhall under pressure with high balls given it’s her first selection at full-back.
It’s gusty at Musgrave Park but it has no impact on Italy’s first line-out and they put the maul into action. They run through the phases.

It looks as though there are very different playing conditions at Ireland’s Musgrave Park, it looks bitterly cold!
The ground even looks a bit frozen, a stark difference from sunny Kingshom yesterday and a cloudy Scotstoun earlier today.

Irish fans will be excited to see Beibhinn Parsons on the starting sheet as the winger has been left on the bench for the two opening matches.
The speedster’s omission has been a shock with her skills impressing each time she puts on the green jersey. The team will be hoping she does what she does best and dots down a few tries to kick-off their wins in the campaign.
And there’s another player catching headlines as Aoife Wafer could win her first cap from the bench.
Head coach Greg McWilliams said of the debutant: “We’re really excited about Aoife’s potential. She has just come through an injury so we’ve had to manage her but we feel now is the right opportunity for her to hopefully come off the bench and show people what she can do.”

The teams and fans will be excited for this kick-off in just over half an hour’s time but in the build-up England rugby have issued an update.
Versatile back Abby Dow went down injured in their match against Wales yesterday and had to be stretchered off the pitch. The Rugby Football Union have confirmed she broke her leg and will undergo surgery.
It’s a blow for the speedy back as she will miss out on the end of the season with club Wasps and potentially the World Cup in October. Dow could still make the event in New Zealand as it is six months away. Emily Scarratt broke her leg in September and is back playing for England now.
It’s a fine margin but it is possible. Wishing her a speedy recovery!
