Grand National 2023 LIVE: Results, reaction and latest updates after dramatic day at Aintree

Reaction from winning jockey Derek Fox who told ITV: “He is just a phenomenal horse. I can’t believe it. He normally gets his head up a wee bit but today he travelled everywhere. He is the cleverest horse. He is so intelligent.”

Tom Scudamore watched his father’s horse come home to win the Grand National.

He said: “You don’t know what this horse means for my father [Peter Scudamore]. He is such a character, dad understands him, they mean so much to each other.

“He is part of the family. I know what this would mean to dad. I am just proud of my dad.”

1. Corach Rambler - 8/1

2. Vanillier - 20/1

3. Gaillard Du Mesnil - 10/1

4. Noble Yeats -10/1

5. The Big Dog - 12/1

It’s a second Grand National victory for jockey Derek Fox. He won with One For Arthur in 2017 too.

That was a beautiful ride and a fantastic finish from Corach Rambler.

Corach Rambler travelled superbly and kicked on down the final stretch. Vanillier comes from nowhere to challenge in a sprint but can’t catch the British winner!

Over the last, it’s Mister Coffey with the lead. Corach Rambler is goes ahead of him though! The Big Dog and Gaillard Du Mesnil are up there too!

Mister Coffey has the lead over the third last. He’s gone five lengths clear of The Big Dog. Can he hold on to the lead?

The Canal Turn sees Mister Coffey cut the corner ahead of Coko Beach and The Big Dog.

Mr Incredible has been unseated. Our Power, Corach Rambler and Ain’t That A Shame are still involved near the front.

Any Second Now and Velvet Elvis have pulled up. The Big Dog has moved up the third from the middle of the pitch. Delta Work and Noble Yeats are riding well.
