Sony Michel's fourth-quarter touchdown proved the defining play of a game that was dominated by defences. The win, a sixth, sees the Pats equal the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most titles ever and gives quarterback Tom Brady the most-ever Super Bowls for a player.
Here's how it all played out in Atlanta:

Another hand-off for Goff, Anderson up the middle for five.
Goff floats one wide and Woods is in bounds, lovely feet to complete it.
Pats regain some momentum: Shelton driving through Anderson to stop them on second down and seven.
Gurley remains on the touchline, a real concern for LA fans.
Goff hauls one up, Reynolds gets hands on the ball, but the pressure from McCourty is too much and they're punting once more.
Gronkowski is back in for the Patriots, whose fans breath a sigh of relief.
Can he shrug off any lingering effects from that hit?
Rams just not able to get anything going: They are the first team to punt on their opening four possessions since the Patriots in Super Bowl 39 vs the Eagles in 2005.
Heroic effort from the Rams!
Littleton again, big stop on third down and the Rams remain in contention.
Natson on the return for LA... He's out of bounds after finding touch, but there's holding on the Pats.
Rams have put Gurley back in! Can he show up? The game might depend on it.
Gurley rips one down the middle for five! Hope for Rams fans there.
And another for TG3, gets another three, McVay might just be desperate for a spark?
Third down... Goff dances, but can't find a man free downfield and is stopped, a huge celebration from the Pats' D!
The crowd is going wild, Goff struggling to cope amidst the rising pressure.
Now 4/10 for 38 yards. Van Nooy running through him on that last stop will be a blow to his confidence too.
Brady. Throw. Edelman. Catch. Repeat.
That's a first down and six catches for Edelman and 84 yards. Astonishing.
There's another Edelman completion - nine more yards - a second first down on this drive.
So how do the Rams stop a problem like Edelman?
Talib to switch from Gronkowski?
The Rams, regardless, are just two minutes away from being shut out in the first half: a first under Sean McVay.
Patriots rolling now and looking to inflate their slender three-point lead before the end of the half.
But Brady tosses one at the feet of White, who has been quiet so far, and the clock stops on second down.
Another pass towards White is wayward, a chance for the Rams to escape here?
Goff is gazing at the roof of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Brady to Patterson, he's a yard short. Peters with that big tackle to stop him. Will they go for it?
Fourth down, one needed, Brady steps back, to Gronk... No good!
Huge catch on second down as Goff connects with Reynolds.
But where is Gurley? Rams are missing their star running back.
