From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Relive all the action from the final day at The Masters where Tiger Woods has won his first major in 11 years to complete one of the greatest comebacks sport has ever seen.
Woods went into the opening day two shots off overnight leader Francesco Molinari, with the Italian sitting clear on -13. But as the reigning Open champion wilted under the pressure of leading at Augusta, Woods surged into the lead to move clear on -14 with two holes to play. Despite the chasing pack of Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele and Brroks Koepka all reaching the clubhouse on -12, there was no stopping Woods.
Waling up the 18th to one of the biggest ovations Augusta has ever witnessed, Woods saw playing partners Molinari and Tony Finau whole out to complete their strong performances, and despite failing to make par on the last to drop to -13, he sealed possibly the most incredible victory seen at The Masters. Patrick Cantlay (-8) gets back to 8-under with a birdie on the difficult fifth.
Molinari (-13) sends his birdie effort to the left of the hole on the second but makes par. As does Tiger (-11) who'll feel happy after his wayward tee shot.
Who's sleeping on Phil?

Kuchar (-8) sails his par putt past at the fourth and makes a bogey. Oosthuizen (-9) has a long putt for par on the fifth.

Solid start for Francesco (-13) three pars in three holes.
A fantastic first putt for Koepka (-11) on the fourth gives him a good chance of making par.
Tiger, Tiger, Tiger.
He birdies the third and moves to 12-under within one of Molinari.
Finau (-11) makes par.
Webb Simpson (-9) is struggling on his round so far. He's about to putt to save par on the fourth.
Koepka (-11) in for par, so to is Poulter (-8).
Tiger (-12) hits his tee shot off the front of the green on the par-3 fourth. Save an immaculate chip he'll have the settle for par at best.

Finau (-11) follows Molinari but over hits it and finishes off the back of the dancefloor.
