The two met at Old Trafford on the reserve day after play was postponed for rain on Tuesday

The Kiwis posted 239 following Tuesday's rain delay and looked destined to cruise home when they removed Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli with the new ball. But a brilliant fightback from Ravi Jadeja and MS Dhoni saw India roar back into it before Trent Boult's saw off Jadeja before Dhoni was run out in dramatic fashion at the death.
New Zealand will now face either England or Australia in Sunday's showpiece.

13.0 - New Zealand 44-1, K Williamson 21, H Nicholls 20, R Jadeja 0-13 (2)
Jadeja tends to fire the ball through and thus Nicholls counters with the paddle around the corner, two more to his total down to fine leg.
And that's sloppy from the fielding side - a needless shy at the stumps with Nicholls comfortably jogging through. An overthrow conceded.
14.0 - New Zealand 52-1, K Williamson 26, H Nicholls 23, H Pandya 0-15 (3)
Henry Nicholls doesn't look a natural hooker and puller of a ball. He'd top edged one from Bumrah early and has a rather loose go at this bouncer from Pandya, late on the shot and drawing a coo from M.S. Dhoni behind the stumps. He shows greater control as Pandya looks to repeat the dose, but it is fuller and only at rib height on this occasion.
And that'll be four. Williamson bisects the two fielders waiting for the run-down with more of a back-foot drive with open face, and Yuzvendra Chahal can't quite hustle round to it.
Refreshments on the field at Old Trafford - the players take drinks.
New Zealand ticking along, slowly, but solidly. These are the two best technical batsmen that the Blackcaps possess, and they seem to be backing the lower middle order to be able to accelerate with wickets in hand. Nicholls had his hamstring stretched out and massaged during drinks. He had a few issues with it coming into the tournament.
Jadeja continues, around the wicket now to the left-hander.
15.0 - New Zealand 55-1, K Williamson 27, H Nicholls 25, R Jadeja 0-16 (3)
Through another Jadeja hustles with just three singles taken.
15.4 - New Zealand 56-1, K Williamson 27, H Nicholls 25, H Pandya 0-17 (3.4)
These are India's two weaker bowlers, and you sense that Kohli recognises that it mightn't be a bad thing to let them churn through a few while New Zealand are content to sit in and respect the match situation. Pandya is probably the one that Nicholls will feel most confident attacking, and swings hard at two short balls that jump above his head as the over begins with two wides.
Ravi Jadeja again saves four with a diving stop and is disappointed when his shy whistles past the stumps (though Nicholls was back), but Pandya pulls up in his run-up from the last ball, apparently bothered by a hip issue. India don't have a sixth bowler on which to call.
Pandya is gritting his teeth and working through the pain, but he's really struggling. This will surely be his last for the moment, at the very least.
16.0 - New Zealand 57-1, K Williamson 27, H Nicholls 25, H Pandya 0-17 (4)
It's a very tidy over, regardless - just those two wides and then six dot balls. Pandya will trudge off for some treatment. It is his right hip that's bothering him. Virat Kohli is probably the option if he can't continue, which could be some fun. He dismissed Williamson at U19 level, intriguingly.
