Eoin Morgan's men were on a high after a blistering innings from the skipper himself powered them to a 150-run win over Afghanistan at Old Trafford on Tuesday. But they came crashing down to earth at Headingley as Lasith Malinga shredded their top order on the way to a famous win.

Good start from Pradeep, as Root misses a cover drive on the final ball.

A Malinga maiden. Excellent bowling, as Vince fends off a variety of deliveries.
England 10-1 (4 overs)
A lovely cover drive off the back foot by Root gives England their first boundary of the game, but England's no.3 is lucky on the final ball of the over, as a mistimed drive falls just short of extra cover.

England 15-1 (5 overs)
A couple of 2s by Root to the off-side, and five from the over in total.
Root progresses to 12 from 19 balls, Vince on 3 from 10.

Hhhmmm England are on the back foot a little here...
More consistent bowling by Pradeep - Vince edges it down to third man, and Root comes close to edging it behind.

After hitting two consecutive fours, Vince goes chasing a ball outside off stump and edges the ball to first slip Kudal Mendis, who takes a good catch.
