From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The tee times for the final day at The Open have been moved forward by around an hour to avoid bad weather conditions, which are due to hit Northern Ireland's Royal Portrush course late in the evening.

The final group, which is currently set to be made up of Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood as they lead the way on -13 and -12 respectively, will take to the course at 1:47pm on Sunday afternoon.

The tee-off is an hour earlier than last year's final round at Carnoustie, and two hours earlier than when Lowry and JB Holmes started their third round on Saturday.

"Sunday tee times have been moved forward due to the adverse weather forecast," tournament organisers the R&A tweeted.

"The first tee time will be at 7:32am with the leaders beginning their final round at 1:47pm."

It is the second time this year that the final round of a major has been affected by weather, following the early finish to The Masters last April when Tiger Woods secured his 15th career major victory.

On that occasion, heavy thunderstorms expected in the afternoon lead to organisers deciding on a two-tee start and threesomes instead of pairings, though players will remain in twos at The Open and it has been decided that there is enough time for all groups to tee off from the first hole as planned.

Please allow a moment for the blog to load.

14th hole

Willett (-6) hits the rim of the hole with his putt for par but the ball lips out and he makes bogey. Westwood (-7) holes in for par.

13th hole

Rose (-3) a little further away than the 6ft I thought, misses his putt for par, so too does Rickie Fowler (-6). They join the group to bogey 13.

12th hole

JB Holmes (evs) is making Rory McIlroy's first round look like a dream scenario. He takes a penalty drop on 12, misses his putt for bogey and gets a double. He's ten over for the day and level par for the week.

12th hole

Lowry (-15) finds the front of the green in three so will have a long, long putt for birdie. Fleetwood (-10) is closer in two and has an eagle putt incoming.

13th hole

Koepka (-6) finds the green on 13 and surprises everyone by setting up a putt for birdie.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 16:48

12th hole

Lowry (-15) makes par with a long putt for birdie finishing close on 12. Fleetwood's eagle putt pulls up short but he manages to hole the birdie. There's not a sound from  the crowd as the ball goes in and Tommy moves to (-11). He cuts the gap to just four and Lowry (-15) like the crowd know the job isn't done yet.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 16:52

13th hole

The trap of 13 catches Tommy Fleetwood (-11) he shoots over the back. Lowry (-15) looks nervous as he hits his tee shot, unlike Tommy he doesn't pitch on the green but instead lands in the bunker to the left.

Previously Brooks Koepka (-6) had a putt for birdie which sailed wide, instead he made par which is the best result of this hole from the last four pairings.

13th hole

Fleetwood's (-11) second comes relatively close, close enough for a par, not as close as Lowry (-15) who pitches his from the bunker to within 4ft. He truly is a magician out the sand.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 17:01

13th hole

Tommy (-11) adds a pinch of pressure onto the leader as he holes his putt for par but there's no signs of nerves from Shane Lowry (-15) just inside right of the cup and it falls for par. Four in front with five to play.

Oh Henrik!

Michael Jones21 July 2019 17:06

16th hole

A left-to-right putt for Lee Westwood on the 16th doesn't drop and he picks up another bogey to drop back to (-6). The putter has let him down on these last two rounds. Danny Willett (-5) finally stops plummeting as he makes a well earned par.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 17:10

14th hole

Lowry's (-15) second leaps off the club face and flies to the back of the putting surface. In his favour is Tommy Fleetwood's (-11) ball in the bunker, it's not sitting well so Tommy whacks it high, he spoons it over to the right rough near the big screen. A par from here would be a miracle.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 17:13

17th hole

Tony Finau (-7) has a birdie putt that he draws in close to the hole, he's up to third on the leaderboard and has had a good week.

15th hole

Rickie Fowler (-6) is one of those players that's always there or thereabouts in the majors. A good pick for an each way bet. He makes a really solid putt drop on the 15th to pick up a birdie and move up to fourth.
