47 mins: TRY FOR AUSTRALIA!

There's a video referee check though...

47 mins: The try is chalked off! That's a big call, but it's deemed that Cameron Smith is in an offside position as the ball is passed to Morgan, and his try is disallowed as a result.

Jack de Menezes2 December 2017 10:15

48 mins: Whitehead takes a huge hit off the scrum and he needs a minute to be checked over. He somehow kept hold of the ball though so England retain possession, only for Walmsley to cough up the ball with a knock-on.

Jack de Menezes2 December 2017 10:16

50 mins: The penalty goes against England as Burgess is penalised for an illegal ball strip - his second of the game - having just come back on the field for a weary-looking James Graham. The energetic Chris Hill is back on too, and that should bring some pace to England's forward play.

Jack de Menezes2 December 2017 10:19

53 mins: Morgan makes another break through the line, but after he's tackled he foolishly offloads the ball and gives away the penalty. It's a it harsh as he was still on his feet, but England won't mind that one bit.

Jack de Menezes2 December 2017 10:21

54 mins: Chaos breaks out as England attack, and despite a pass that was clearly forwards from Bateman to Hall, England get the penalty as the eventual kick through catches the Australian defence offside. England have a fresh set of six on the Australian line - can they finally take their chance?

Jack de Menezes2 December 2017 10:23

55 mins: Once again, Australia hold firm. Gale tries the chip in behind and England are caught offside to concede the penalty.

Jack de Menezes2 December 2017 10:24

58 mins: Gale goes for broke on the kick, and it just trickles dead to give Australia the 20m restart. Had that ball stayed in, Slater would've been in big trouble. England are taking a roll of the dice too, as Widdop as moved up to stand-off with Jonny Lomax on at full-back and Kevin Brown off in an effort to inject some pace.

Jack de Menezes2 December 2017 10:27

59 mins: From their own 20m restart, England make good ground and are inside the Australian 20m on the last tackle. Roby spots a gap but he's wrapped up as he tries to get the kick away and knocks it on, and that pressure fails to pay off.

Jack de Menezes2 December 2017 10:28

61 mins: Holmes knocks the ball on after running over Widdop, and that will give England a  scrum in the Australian half. They desperately need to take a chance to get into the game here.
