From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Your support makes all the difference.Brazil are the hot favourite this year and are hoping to add a sixth World Cup title to their trophy cabinet.
The South American giants have had an excellent display of form, losing only one game out of 21 and conceded five goals in the process.
Switzerland, on the other hand, are looking to give the Brazilians a challenge, after only losing one out of 17 games since the Euro 2016.
Both squads have a good chance at snatching three points but with the Swiss being the clear underdogs in their group, a draw would be a massive boost for them.

Hello and welcome to the Independent's coverage of Brazil vs Switzerland, where one of the stars of the tournament, Neymar, will make his entrance. Stay tuned for updates, team news and analysis of game three of the day.
The teams are out, and there's plenty of familiar names to watch out for...
There's talent littered throughout these two teams, but who should we be looking out for?
Alisson in goal for Brazil is one of the best goalkeepers in the tournament, and has been linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid. Philippe Coutinho has made his own big move heading to Barcelona, and after a tough introduction he'll be looking to make a mark on the World Cup.
Gabriel Jesus and Neymar will no doubt be striking fear into defences, but Willian of Chelsea has performed well in recent months and shouldn't be underestimated.
Switzerland have the advantage of being underdogs in this one, but have plenty of talent of their own.
Yann Sommer is a safe pair of hands in goal, new Arsenal signing Stephan Lichtsteiner brings experience and quality, and another Gunners player Granit Xhaka, despite his inconsistency can be powerful in midfield. Add to that the talent of Xherdan Shaqiri and the exciting ability of young star Breel Embolo, Switzerland could pose the second shock of the day.
The Brazilian fans are ready, and it's not long until our third game of the day gets underway. Just over 10 minutes until kick off
