Gary O’Neil will be hoping to push his Wolves team into the top half of the table as they host Everton at Molineux this afternoon. The midlands club are in good form with two wins from their last two matches including a 4-1 hammering of Brentford last time out.

Should Wolves replicate that form this afternoon they can easily challenge Sean Dyche’s Everton who are looking to move further away from the relegation zone.

The Toffees’ 10-point deduction has sent them into a relegation battle as they are one point above the bottom three. Consecutive defeats to Tottenham and Manchester City halted a winning run of four league games in a row for the Merseryside club who will be hoping to get back to winning ways this afternoon.

Danger! A deep Everton free-kick causes carnage in the Wolves area, with Doyle and Dawson both going to ground to block close-range efforts – the latter taking Tarkowski's blast directly in the face. There are muted handball appeals from the travelling fans, but not from the Everton players.

Onana looks to have gotten over his earlier injury scare. He plays a pass wide to Patterson, whose cross is sliced up in the air by Toti, forcing Sa into an unconvincing punch. Joao Gomes follows up to complete the clearance.

Almost! Dawson's sliced clearance is flicked wide by Sarabia, bringing Semedo into the game. He mishits his cross from the right, but it almost dips over Pickford and into the far corner, just fading wide of the post!

Cunha, Sarabia and Hwang have shown some bright flashes for Wolves, each attempting three dribbles – a joint-high tally among all players on the pitch. The former pair have each played 10 passes in the final third, more than anyone else, and O'Neil will be hoping they can continue to drag Everton's defence around after the break. Wolves also still have Neto in reserve, and he will be desperate to make an impact if called upon after two months on the sidelines.

It's half-time at Molineux, and Kilman's goal is the difference after 45 minutes as Wolves lead Everton 1-0. The hosts started brightly with Everton seemingly struggling to adjust after switching to a three-man backline, with Hwang failing to get a shot away when clean through early on before Cunha fired just wide from range. The hosts went ahead through their captain in the 25th minute, Kilman steering home the rebound after Pickford clawed Dawson's lunging effort off the line. Wolves have failed to really threaten since then, but Everton are yet to manage a shot on target. Dyche will demand more from his side after the restart, while O'Neil will be hoping for a repeat of an enterprising first 25 minutes from the hosts. Stay tuned for the second half!

Everton win a corner on their left-hand side, which is delivered deep towards Branthwaite at the back post. He causes something of a scramble with his header across goal, but Toti is eventually able to hammer a clearance upfield. Wolves are closing in on half-time with a one-goal lead.
