Liverpool are on a run of eight successive Premier League wins against Crystal Palace, scoring 24 goals and conceding just five.

Palace can equal their longest top-flight losing streak against a particular opponent, having suffered nine defeats in a row versus Spurs from 2015 to 2019.

The Eagles have lost on each of their last four league visits to Anfield, having previously earned three straight victories there.

90+6 mins: There’s the final whistle. Brentford did the job in the first half, Ivan Toney with a man of the match performance that saw him convert from the penalty spot before setting up Bryan Mbeumo for the second.

Shandon Baptiste had a couple of mental blocks in the second half which saw him pick up two quickfire yellow cards and leave his team in trouble. Brentford had to defend for 25 minutes with 10-men but they managed it to take all three points.

87 mins: Massive chance! Traore has whipping in crosses all game with no-one in position to receive them. This time Raul Jimenez pops up. David Raya thinks about coming for the ball but gets stuck in no-man’s land. Jimenez jumps highest, wins the header and then fires it wide of the back post!

84 mins: Danger. Podence wins a free kick right on the front edge of the Brentford penalty area. Trincao and Neves stand over the set piece but it’s going to be Trincao who takes it.

He gets his effort over the wall but there’s not enough time for the ball to dip under the crossbar and the shot goes high.

81 mins: Pontus Jansson is taken off after picking up a yellow card. Zanka Jørgensen comes on to replace him for the final minutes. Less than 10 to go for Brentford who are employing all the tricks of the trade to take time out of the game.

79 mins: Traore powers his way into the right side of the box before chipping a cross over to Podence and Trincao. Both men make runs towards the back post but the cross goes over their heads and the attack breaks down. It’s just not coming together for Wolves today.
