The Premier League transfer window may be shut but there’s still plenty to follow as European clubs look to finalise their plans this summer, while the deadline day fallout continues to be revealed with the details on every move that did and didn’t happen leaking out.

Everton and Fulham got their cheque books out to dominate the headlines, with the Toffees landing Fc Barcelona duo Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes, as well as Shakhtar Donetsk forward Bernard. They could yet sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea on loan, with confirmation yet to come on the late, late talks. Fulham meanwhile broke their transfer record with the signing of Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa for around £30m, while Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Luciano Vietto, Sergio Rico and Joe Bryan also moved to Craven Cottage.

Then there’s Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, who failed to sign anyone on deadline day – the latter becoming the first club not to sign a player in the summer at all since the transfer window was introduced – and we’ll bring you the latest fallout from the disappointing windows.

With the European transfer window still open, we will have all the latest news, late done deals plus all the latest reaction right here so don't touch that dial.

Atlético Madrid defender Diego Godín has signed a new deal until 2021, according to reports in Spain.

The 32-year-old was among a number of eleventh-hour targets for Manchester United during this summer's transfer window, as last year's Premier League runner-up scampered around for defensive reinforcements.

The centre-back's current deal at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano was due to expire at the end of the 2018-19 season, however swift negotiations have led to a new deal for Godín, who took the mantle as club captain after Gabi's departure to Qatar this summer.

Nikola Kalinic and Santiago Arias have been presented as Atlético Madrid players this morning at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Croatian striker Kalinic, who joined from AC Milan on a three-year deal for a reported £13.5m, will wear the no.9 jersey previously donned by Fernando Torres, who left for the Japanese league this summer.

26-year-old right-back Arias left Dutch side PSV for the Spanish capital, and is seen as a replacement for Kalinic's Croatia teammate Sime Vrsalijko, who joined Inter Milan on loan.

Hannover 96 are showing an interest in Sunderland centre-half Papy Djilobodji, according to Kicker.

The German media outlet states that the Senegal international is also interesting fellow Bundesliga team Borussia Mönchengladbach. Sunderland are said to be desperate to offload the 29-year-old, who spent last year on loan at French club Dijon.

Hannover may turn their attention elsewhere in their search for defensive reinforcements however, as they retain an interest in Reece Oxford and Southampton's Jan Bednarek.

Anthony Modeste has expressed his interest in returning to the Bundesliga, a year after leaving Germany for Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian.

"I will never say no to the Bundesliga," the 30-year-old Frenchman told German outlet Sport 1.

"I don't have any offers for the moment but a return to the Bundesliga would be perfect" he added.

A German club reportedly showing interest in the ex-Cologne forward are Borussia Dortmund, a proposition which Modeste finds "very interesting".

French outlet L'Equipe have stated that Nice have also registered an interest in bringing the striker back to his home country.

Germany striker Timo Werner is set to sign a contract extension with RB Leipzig, according to Leipziger Volkszeitung.

The 22-year-old was part of Joachim Löw's squad that went out in the group stages of the World Cup and reports in Spain last week suggested that he is of interest to Real Madrid as a possible replacement for Karim Benzema.

However Werner, who was an unused sub in the first leg of his side's Europa League qualifier against Romanian outfit Universitatea Craiova, is set to end all speculation by committing his future to the Bundesliga club until 2020.

The agent of Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric, Marko Naletilic, has not discarded the possibility of the Croatian joining Serie A side Inter Milan.

"The fact that Inter have tried (to sign him) and that Luka took the possibility (to leave) into consideration demonstrates Cristiano Ronaldo's influence in Italian football," Naletilic told Italian outlet Tuttosport.

"From what I know, Modric wants to be a protagonist in Serie A with Inter Milan. We will see. We believe that sooner or later Luka will play in Italy. Like many Croatians his age, he grew up watching Italian football," he added.

Bayern Munich midfielder Sebastian Rudy is set for a loan move to RB Leipzig, according to reports in Germany.

The 28-year-old joined the German champions from Hoffenheim last summer, but Bayern's numerous midfield options, including new signing Leon Goretzka, has opened the door for Rudy to seek an exit, even despite Arturo Vidal's move to Barcelona.

Rudy's destination could therefore be RB Leipzig, with one of the city's local publications Sportbuzzer even claiming that the defensive midfielder visited Leipzig and the club's facilities on Friday.

West Ham's Swiss midfielder Edimilson Fernandes has joined Italian outfit Fiorentina on a season-long loan with an option to buy.

The 22-year-old joined West Ham from FC Sion in his native Switzerland in 2016 and has gone on to represent The Hammers 48 times.

Stefano Pioli's side are believed to have paid a fee bordering on £1m for the services of Fernandes, who has represented his country four times.

Valencia and Nice are in discussions over a loan move with an option to buy for Simone Zaza, according to Cadena Cope in Spain.

The French club have held an interest in the 27-year-old Italian throughout the summer and will likely look to him as a replacement for Mario Balotelli, who is a serious target for Sassuolo and Parma.

Any deal is likely to hinge on Valencia's success in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Gonçalo Guedes, who spent last season on loan at Mestalla.

The latest reports from Spain indicate that the 21-year-old Portuguese is close to a return to Valencia, but Paris Saint-Germain's insistence on an obligatory €45m release clause could prove to be a sticking point.

Sevilla are looking at Inter Milan midfielder João Mário as a possible replacement for Steven Nzonzi, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The Italian side are said to be in need of funds after agreeing a deal for Keita Baldé and with a potential deal for Luka Modric in the offing.

One of the players they may be looking to offload could be 25-year-old Mário, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United.

Sevilla have been sounding out potential replacements for Nzonzi after reported interest from RomaParis Saint-Germain and Monaco in the France midfielder, and the Portugal international, who has also drawn interest from city rivals Real Betis, could fit the bill.
