Manchester United have money to spend - and have already agreed a deal for Victor Lindelof - but may be forced to shell out as much as £70m for both Alvaro Morata, while Andrea Belotti looks like he will stay at Torinio.
Chelsea's main man, Diego Costa, looks like he will be on his way after being told he is surplus to requirements by manager Antonio Conte.
Manchester City already have two players with Monaco's Bernardo Silva and Benfica goalkeeper Ederson in through the door, while Arsenal have snapped up Schalke's Sead Kolasinac on a free.
Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Mohamed Salah as they continue to negotiate with Roma over a fee but won't be adding Virgil van Dijk after being forced to apologise to Southampton for an illegal approach.

Rooney set to leave United
Wayne Rooney looks to be on his way out of Manchester United, if the club's social media activity is anything to go by.
The club's all-time record goalscorer has been coldly removed from the club's Facebook and Twitter photos while Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard have all remained.

Chelsea bid £100m for Napoli duo
Reports in Italy have claimed that Antonio Conte is turning to his home country for Chelsea's transfer business this summer.
Gazetta dello Sport are reporting that the Blues have made a £97m double bid for forward Lorenzo Insigne and defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
They say the breakdown of the bid is £53m for Insigne and £44m for Koulibaly.
Everton's Italian job
Everton sporting director Steve Walsh is in Italy for transfer talks, with Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina one of the club's targets.
Walsh, who directed Leicester's recruitment for their title-winning team, has been charged with improving Ronald Koeman's squad for the upcoming season as the Merseysiders prepare to sell Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley.
Talks will also take place with Milan over the future of Gerard Deulofeu, who impressed on loan at San Siro last season.
Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto is also understood to have been offered to the club.
Leicester to sign £17m Maguire
Leicester have had a bid accepted for Hull defender Harry Maguire.
A fee of around £17m has reportedly been agreed between the two clubs and the move could be confirmed by the weekend, subject to the player agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
Maguire, about to enter the final year of his contract with Hull, looks set to become Craig Shakespeare's first signing since he put pen to paper on a three-year contract as full-time Leicester boss last week.
The 24-year-old joined the Tigers in the summer of 2014 from Sheffield United for a fee of £2.5m and the Blades will receive a windfall from Maguire's sale after inserting a sell-on clause in the deal that took him to Humberside.
Jose Mourinho has revealed the tactical masterplan that saw his Manchester United side ease to victory over Ajax in last month's Europa League final.
A lot was riding on the game for the Portuguese manager. His side had finished sixth despite being one of the favourites for the Premier League title at the start of the season and one of the division's biggest spenders.
United were relying on victory in order to qualify for the lucrative Champions League and to retain Mourinho's reputation as one of Europe's best coaches.
But if there were any nerves in the dugout, then Mourinho certainly wasn't showing them.
Here's what he did:
Where will Mbappe go next?
Kylian Mbappe is wanted by pretty much every major European club there is. There has been talk of him being the subject of transfer bids well in excess of £100m from the likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
So, as always, The Independent are here to help. We've assessed the pros and cons of each option and where Mbappe could, and should end up.
So, Kylian, if you're reading this (which I'm sure you are), you're welcome.
Roma warn Liverpool over Salah
Roma have warned Liverpool they won't be bullied into selling Mohamed Salah.
“New Roma sporting director Monchi is insistent his club would not be forced into selling below their valuation of the player, but crucially did not rule out Salah making the move to Anfield.
“For Salah there is an offer from an English club but the price will be set by Roma, not the buyers,” he told a press conference for the presentation of new coach Eusebio Di Francesco. “As I've said before, Roma is not a supermarket. Roma is a team that will represent Italy in Europe.
“We came second in Serie A and our idea is to keep as good a team as possible. At the same time no club exists that does not sell players.”
Meticulous Mourinho United transfer analysis
With transfers for Alvaro Morata and Ivan Perisic on the horizon, Miguel Delaney has revealed that Mourinho handed Ed Woodward a list of 25 players back in March – one for each position along with four back-ups.
Mourinho is a second-season specialist and has won the domestic league, as well as two Champions Leagues, in his second season in charge of a club.
He is making certain of it this time, with Victor Lindelof set to be announced today.
