Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

WEST BROM 0 - 0 CRYSTAL PALACE

Benteke and Evans clash heads when both diving into a header. Both players look like they've come out of the challenge badly, with Evans exiting the pitch immediately.

SWANSEA 1 - 1 BURNLEY

The Swans are dominating this game, with Burnley failing to make any real impact on the fixture so far. Clement's men are relentlessly charging into the final third and sending dangerous deliveries into the box.

GOAL

STOKE 2 - 0 MIDDLESBROUGH

Whelan delivers a ball into the box, Crouch knocks it down and Arnautovic knocks it home to score his second of the afternoon. They've doubled their tally and doubled Middlesbrough's problems.

GOAL

WATFORD 1 - 2 SOUTHAMPTON

Redmond has given The Saints the advantage just before the interval. He picks up the ball in the middle of the park and feeds it wide, it's then laid back to Redmond, who buries it past Gomes. What a response.

West Brom 0 - 0 Crystal Palace

Stoke 2 - 0 Middlesbrough

Watford 1 - 2 Southampton

WEST BROM 0 - 0 CRYSTAL PALACE

It was a steady first half for both sides at The Hawthorns, with neither side carrying enough menace to break the deadlock. The home side have come out this half looking energetic and determined, so we can expect some goals.

LEICESTER 1 - 1 HULL

Maguire rattles the woodwork with an attempt on goal from close range. Against the run of play, Hull almost bagged the advantage.

WEST BROM 0 - 0 CRYSTAL PALACE

The Baggies are working relentlessly, but their efforts remain unrewarded. Neither side look lethal going forward and this game feels although it needs a goal to bring it to life.

SWANSEA 1 - 1 BURNLEY

Carroll whips it in from the left-hand side, but Llorente is unable to get a good connection onto the ball to test Robinson.

GOAL

WEST BROM 0 - 1 CRYSTAL PALACE

Zaha controls a long ball from Cabaye with his chest and then drives it into the bottom corner past Foster. Tremendous strike, helped by some tragic defending.
