From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Manchester United travel to Leicester looking to put their midweek defeat at the hands of Bristol City behind them. They take on a Leicester side who have rediscovered their form under Claude Puel but, if last week's humiliation against Crystal Palace is anything to go by, remain defensively vulnerable. Stick around for the live action as it happens!
72' - What a miss. Jesse Lingard breaks the offside trap and is expertly found by Romelu Lukaku before rounding the goalkeeper and hitting the post with the goal at his mercy.
How has he not scored there?!
74' - Red card alert!
Daniel Amartey, who only came on for Danny Simpson 17 minutes ago, is shown a second yellow card for a body-check on Marcus Rashford. Absolute madness from the substitute.
80' - That's really wasteful from Marcus Rashford.
Paul Pogba finds him with a superb through ball and the young striker has bags of time to pick his spot with just Kasper Schmeichel to beat. However, his composure is poor and he attempts to round the Leicester goalkeeper only for Schmeichel to get a hand on the ball and snuff out the chance.
83' - Leicester want a penalty as Chris Smalling climbs all over Harry Maguire to win a header in the area but Jon Moss waves play on.
The United defender might have got away with one there.
86' - United have another chance to wrap up all three points at the end of another counter-attack but Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who replaced Juan Mata a few minutes ago, dithers on the ball and allows Kasper Schmeichel to close the angle. He ends up trying to cut the ball back to Romelu Lukaku but Leicester eventually clear their lines.
GOAL! Leicester 2-2 Manchester United (Maguire, 90+4)
Harry Maguire rescues a point at the death, turning the ball home at the far post from Marc Albrighton's magnificent cross. Unbelievable!
