From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Defensive shortcomings and a failure to take chances once undermined Liverpool’s efforts that night so Jurgen Klopp will be hopeful that his side have learned their lessons come Saturday evening.
Jamie Vardy is expected to return for Leicester after missing his side’s victory over the Reds with a groin Strain. For the visitors, Dejan Lovren remains a doubt due back problems while Joel Matip and Emre Can are being assessed after sustaining knocks last week.

What time does it start?
The game kicks off at 5.30pm on Saturday 23 September at the King Power Stadium.
Where can I watch it?
The game will be broadcast on BT Sport 1 with coverage starting at 5pm.
It’s a big game for?
Jurgen Klopp. Another disappointing result would really set the alarm bells ringing at Anfield. Liverpool have not won in their last four games as question marks continue to persist over the state of the side’s backline. Klopp needs his men to put in a convincing and assertive performance against the Foxes on Saturday otherwise the Reds could find themselves a potential eight points off the pace.
Player to watch?
Jamie Vardy. The Englishman memorably scored that goal against Liverpool during a 2-0 victory that helped the Foxes along the way in their title-winning season last year. Vardy is set to return on Saturday after suffering a groin strain and will be hoping to hit the ground running. Against a defensively fragile side such as Liverpool, Vardy should be in his element.

52 mins: West Ham continue to launch crosses into the box but are yet to test Hugo Lloris. Marco Arnautovic looks up for it but you feel the home side have to make this pressure turn into something soon.
55 mins: Moussa Sissoko finds Dele Alli in the box who opts to come back on his right foot instead of shoot first time and tumbles to the ground under the pressure of Winston Reid. No penalty or appeals with any great deal of conviction.

58 mins: Dele Alli skips past Jose Fonte on the edge of the box, the ball gets past the defender but the player doesn't and Spurs have a free kick. Harry Kane takes the free kick and hits the post.
Goal!
West Ham 0-3 Tottenham
Serge Aurier's deflected cross falls to Christian Eriksen who cooly slots a shot into the bottom corner and becomes the highest scoring Dane in the Premier League. Sorry Nicklas Bendtner.
62 mins: This could get embarrassing. Harry Kane has the ball at his feet and unleashes an early shot which hits the post.
Serge Aurier is the first player into Micheal Oliver's book. The Tottenham defender gets a yellow card as a matter of a 'totting up process.'
Goal!
West Ham 1-3 Tottenham
Is this the most Javier Hernandez goal ever? Jose Fonte flicks on a header at the near post and Hernandez is there to head the ball in.
66 mins: West Ham react to their goal by bringing on Jordan Ayew for Marco Arnautovic who had a good game on his return to a starting place.
